HAPPY  BIRTHDAY  ILSE!!!

We took Valerie to the zoo on the weekend.  There's a baby girl gorilla at the zoo who was born exactly two weeks before Valerie on May 15th, 2008.  Her mother was a hero to me when Valerie was born because of this article that was written about her birth in the Calgary Herald at the time:

We bought some of those adorable tiny honey mandarin oranges the other day. Last night George was out meeting with a friend about some business and I spoiled Valerie and let her eat 3 of them.
