Author's Notes: One of our annual Halloween fics. We had so much fun writing this alternate universe and hope you enjoy it, too.
Story 1 Story 2 and 3 Three years later.
Jared found himself a comfortable spot near the back wall, watching for his friends in the crowd of high school kids in costume. At six two, he towered over the rest of the party goers, so he had a clear view of everyone. He shifted, slightly uncomfortable in his gladiator costume, which was nothing more than a leather skirt, a thin chain holding a cape over his back and strap sandals that went up his thick calves. A bandolier strapped across his muscular chest and across his broad right shoulder held a fake sword in place on his back, under the cape.
Jensen climbed out of his car, cursing when the cape got tangled again. He was already a bit annoyed by the night and the situation, having not expected to be going alone. With a sigh, Jensen slammed the door and then went to the trunk to get the case of beer he'd conned Josh into buying for him. Hefting the box into his arms, Jensen walked down the block and around the corner, seeing the party house ahead of him and the swarm of high school and college kids milling about the yard and into the house. Taking his time, Jensen made his way inside, greeting all the friends he recognized as he started to make his way through the crowd to carry the beer to the kitchen.
Jared grinned at the sight of a good-looking Zorro enter, but grumbled when his friends showed no signs of showing up. Since Chad had gotten with Sophia (finally) and Sandy had paired up with Brad, they always arrived as a foursome and late for everything. Honestly, it made Jared feel alone again, but it wasn't easy finding a boyfriend in Texas. He'd mostly resigned himself to being single until college.
Making his way through the room, Jensen noticed a giant of a gladiator on the back wall and blinked his eyes in surprise. It took a lot of self assurance to wear something like that, and he found himself admiring not only the body, but the obvious confidence. He'd realized two years earlier that he was as into guys as he was girls, though he'd been careful to only date girls from school and not let anyone catch on.
Jared rolled his eyes as he glanced at the time and wondered if he should just head home. Parties weren't really his thing, and Halloween always felt hollow since Jensen stopped being his friend. It was shameful how much he missed going from house to house hand-in-hand with his best friend... especially after all this time. "Grow up, Padalecki," he muttered and straightened, ready to head for the exit.
Jensen shifted the case of beer, cursing his friends for deciding to meet him here last minute. He continued across the floor, eyes still on the gladiator, sizing him up in a theoretical way, even if Jensen would never approach him. Then Jensen was near him and without thinking, he blurted out, "Hey man, can you help me with this?"
Jared glanced over at the Zorro and flashed his trademark grin. He took the beer out of his hands easily and said, "Sure. Where you want this?"
"Kitchen. Thanks," Jensen replied, feeling something heat up low in his belly. The gladiator handled the case of beer easily, and Jensen offered up his own smile. "These guys probably have plenty, but they're expecting this one, too, and it was a long walk from around the corner."
"Don't really understand the appeal of the stuff myself," Jared said with a shrug. "But there's plenty of drunk people already." He set the beer in a pile with a bunch of other cases in a corner of the kitchen and turned toward the Zorro.
Jensen nodded. "I like one or two at a party, but I don't often have any at all." He shrugged. "Been here long?"
Jared finally got a chance to look into Zorro's very green eyes and his expression faltered and then fell away into blankness. "Jensen."
"Yeah?" Jensen asked, blinking and tilting his head to the side as if trying to figure out how he knew the gladiator.
"Fucking unbelievable," Jared said with a snort and shook his head. "I've been here too long. I'm going to head out."
Jensen took a step back at the obvious disgust radiating off the gladiator. "Thanks for the help, man, but what's with the attitude now?"
Jared barked an unamused laugh. "Well, it's a little hard to be happy when the guy that used to spend this day holding your hand and trick-or-treating with you acts like you're just some random stranger. So yeah..."
"Jay?" Jensen asked, blinking at him in astonishment and uncertainty. "Seriously?" he looked Jared up and down, never guessing the guy in front of him was only fifteen and his former closest friend.
Jared shrugged and said, "Hit a mega growth spurt last year and never stopped. Still haven't. Took up gym big time. Whatever, man, looks like my friends have ditched me, so I'm gonna make tracks. See ya."
"You look... good, Jay," Jensen said softly, a whole host of emotions in his voice, not the least of which was sadness. He wanted to reach out, ask Jared about how things were, but was frozen in place at the disinterest coming off Jared. Turning slightly when he heard his name called out across the room, Jensen gave up. "Yeah, see ya around."
Jared huffed a breath. "Sure you will." He ducked back into the crowd and groaned a little when his friends piled in the door. "Oh, perfect timing."
Jensen watched Jared go, wishing he'd recognized him from the start, that he could go back and start that part of his evening over. Of course, if he'd realized it was Jared, he'd not likely have asked for his help with the beer. Startling when Chris grabbed him around the shoulders, Jensen turned back to his friend with a half-hearted grin. "Hey, man... where's Lacy?"
Chris snorted and gestured to a larger group of giggling girls. "She's over there, oogling that dude you were talking to. Who the fuck was that anyway? We need him on the football squad."
Jared angled back into the kitchen and began looking for a back way out of the house.
"He was an old friend," Jensen said, turning to Jared when he came back in the door. "Hey, Jay... Jared, this is Chris Kane."
Jared blinked and forced a smile at Chris, whom he knew by reputation only. "Hey," he said, forcing himself to be polite and offer his hand.
"Holy shit," Chris said, when he grabbed Jared’s hand. "What the Hell have you been eating?"
Jensen chuckled, still marveling that Jared had grown up like he had. "Chris was just saying they could use you on the football team."
Jared lifted his eyebrow at both of them and said, "Sorry, I may have the height and breadth, but no coordination." He shrugged and fake smiled. "Hey, is there a back way out of here?"
"Yeah, other side of the fridge," Jensen said, gesturing toward the back. "You sure you want to take off?"
Jared made a face. "My friends will bitch at me about it, but it's not much fun being a fifth wheel."
Chris snorted and said, "Jenny knows all about that."
"Fuck you," Jensen said with no heat, shoving Chris in the side. "Yeah, all my friends are here with someone tonight too." He didn't know what to say, but Jensen wished he could say something that would make Jared stay.
"Never thought you'd be part of the lonely hearts club," Jared said. "But isn't this a good place to like pick somebody up? I mean, all the drunk girls and everything."
Jensen grinned. "Can be, but not really my scene. I'm not a fan of holding some girl's hair, while she's puking." He looked around the kitchen, making sure there weren't too many people around. "And I'm not exactly lonely, just single. You?"
Chris rolled his eyes and grabbed a couple of beers. "I'll leave you girls to chat here. My skirt is waiting." He disappeared back out into the throngs again.
"His skirt?" Jared asked with a snort. He turned back to Jensen and shrugged. "Never been anybody interested, I guess."
Jensen looked after Chris, shaking his head. "Yeah, he's not exactly the most polite about his girlfriends." He turned back to Jared. "Well, you're just beginning high school. You've got time to meet people, right?"
"Sure." Jared scuffed his sandal a little on the kitchen floor. "Guess you must already be making plans to get out of this town, huh?"
"Kinda," Jensen said, rubbing over the back of his neck. "Been looking at colleges, at any rate, but not sure how far away I'll be. You looking forward to high school?"
"Nah, it's just school," Jared said with a shrug. "Nothing to get excited about."
Jensen nodded awkwardly. He kinda felt the same. He always had some great times and memories, but didn't feel like he could say anything like that to Jared. Not to this Jared, anyway.
Jared shuffled his feet a little more and finally sighed. "Never thought it would be this hard to talk to you."
"Me either," Jensen admitted, breathing out and looking around. "Wish it wasn't." He looked back at Jared with a twisted smile on his face.
"Well, I've always been here, same as I always was," Jared said. "You just outgrew me."
Jensen sighed, nodded jerkily, knowing it was true. "Yeah, it was hard to invite you to stuff when you were too young for them...and when you didn't know any of my friends."
Jared shrugged and ducked his head. "Well, I guess it's good you found friends your age." He rubbed his chest self-consciously. "Anyway, I better go."
"And you have friends your age, too," Jensen said, looking sadly at Jared before he took a deep breath. "You should stay, have fun with your friends."
Jared stuck out his tongue and said, "To be honest, they're pretty boring now that they've paired up. I mean, they spend half their time with their tongues stuck down each other's throats. How much fun is that?"
Jensen chuckled unexpectedly. "I can imagine... I mean, I know I wouldn't want to just hang out while Chris was making out with his newest girl all the time."
Jared laughed and said, "Honestly not sure why you want to hang out with him at all. He musta forgotten he was the one who used to have so much fun making fun of me when I was still short and scrawny."
"He's a pretty good guy to have around," Jensen said, shrugging. "I made him stop making fun of you when he and I started spending time together, but I don't know what he'd do when I wasn't around. Sorry if he's been mean to you."
"Doesn't really matter now," Jared said, "but I'm not interested in being his friend. Maybe uh, maybe we can talk sometimes, huh?"
Jensen smiled brightly, eyes sparkling with hope. "Yeah, I'd really like that, Jay."
"Would you?" Jared asked, brows raising. "I don't- I don't want it if it's only because I'm tall and have the potential to be like cool or something fucking stupid like that, Jensen."
Hurt that Jared would suspect him of not being genuine, Jensen crossed his arms. "So you only want me to talk to you if I think you're a loser?"
Jared laughed softly, head tilted back. "Well, it would've helped me believe in it a little more."
"If you can't believe in it, then maybe you don't really want to hang out with me," Jensen said. "I never wanted to stop being your friend, Jay. Believe it if you want."
Jared sighed and scrubbed his face a few times. "I want to give you the benefit of the doubt, Jen. I do. But we haven't talked in years..." He sighed and looked at Jensen. "You were my best friend, Jen. And then you just weren't there anymore."
Jensen nodded, knowing Jared wasn't wrong. "I wasn't there anymore because I had school and, you're right, I made friends in my class. Shit happens, plans get made and change when you grow up and your best friend is a different age."
Jared smiled sadly at Jensen and said, "Yeah, okay. I know."
"So you want to hang out sometime?" Jensen asked, feeling unsure of himself in a way he'd not felt in a long time.
Jared bit his lip and looked at Jensen for a moment. "Yeah, all right. I'd like to get to know you again."
Jensen grinned, "Yeah? I'd like that, too. A lot."
Jared found himself smiling back, unable to help himself. "Really?"
"Yeah, you gonna stick around some?" Jensen motioned toward the party, knowing that he had to at least get out there for a bit before his friends gave him shit for being the wallflower.
"Guess so. I'll have to say hi to my friends... want to meet up in like an hour and go get some candy?" Jared grinned, showing his deep dimples and biggest eyes.
Jensen felt the same low fluttering in his gut when Jared smiled at him. "Yeah, let's get some candy in an hour... I'll just be around." He reached out and impulsively squeezed Jared's hand briefly.
Jared turned his hand into Jensen's and joined them as if they were kids again. "Meet you in front."
"Meet you in front," Jensen said, a shiver coursing down his spine.
````
Jared waited out in front of the house, relieved to be out of the party. It was a little cold outside, and he felt his nipples harden in the wind.
Jensen was talking with Chris when he saw Jared slip out the front door. It took him ten minutes longer than he'd have liked to extricate himself from the conversation and the party. "Hey, I'll catch you at school on Monday, okay?"
Chris frowned a little and asked, "Where you going, man? Party's hardly started."
"Gonna head home, not really feeling up to this tonight," Jensen said, shrugging lightly.
Chris frowned and said, "That kid, Jay, isn't it? You always have had a boner for him."
"Yeah, it's Jay, and I don't have a boner or him, Chris," Jensen said, scoffing. "He was my first friend in this town, and a good friend for a long time. Just gonna catch up with him. See you Monday." He didn't give Chris a chance to say anything else, but turned and made his way through the crowd and out the front door.
Jared turned when Jensen came out of the house and smiled at him again. "Hey," he said easily. "How about ice cream instead of candy?"
Jensen nodded, grinning when he came up even with Jared. "I think ice cream sounds like a damn good idea," he said, nudging Jared when he walked by and toward the street. "My car's around the corner."
"Sweet. I hitched a ride here," Jared said. "It's nice not to have to worry about the ride back."
"I can definitely take you home when you're ready," Jensen said, turning at the end of the walk to head toward the car.
"Thanks, Jen... I can call you Jen again?" Jared asked. "I noticed your other friends do."
Jensen nodded. "Of course, you were the first one to call me that... it's your nickname."
"Yeah, I know," Jared said with a little shrug. "First time I heard anyone else say it, I was mad."
"It's a pretty common shortening of my name, and I finally gave up trying to get them to stop after awhile." Jensen shrugged in apology. "They never listened."
"I know. Wasn't your fault, Jen." Jared ducked his head and sighed.
Jensen nodded, hands shoved in his pockets while they walked along, still not comfortable with each other. He wished it were different and hoped they could get beyond it in time.
Jared bumped against him gently, the way he used to. "Tell me what you've been up to, Jen."
"I tried to play football, but gave that up after a little bit. Not really cut out for it," Jensen said. He wanted to be better at the sport that mattered most to them, but Jensen had worked on being better at other things. "I took up guitar, found out I can sing pretty well. What about you?"
"Uh, I'm mostly a geek," Jared said. "I play some basketball, but I tend to fall over my limbs more than is useful."
Jensen chuckled. "Well, if you've hit a sudden growth spurt, that's not surprising." He eyed Jared's tall frame with no small amount of envy. He still hadn't quite hit six feet, and Jared was already inches over him. "Where should we go for ice cream?" he asked, opening the passenger door on his old car before moving to the other side and climbing in behind the wheel.
Jared climbed in, cramming himself to fit and considered their options. "Silbermann's," he said. "They'll be busy, but they always have an awesome Halloween treat."
"True, I love their Halloween specials." Jensen turned the ignition and then eased them out of the parking spot and headed toward downtown.
Jared leaned back in the seat and sighed a little. "Wish I'd brought a shirt. Feel a little weird with some much exposed. Sandy and Sophia were the ones who talked me into this thing. Thought maybe I'd get some action." He rolled his eyes.
Jensen chuckled. "The well meaning friends?" he teased, knowing that he'd been talked into some things before. "There may be something in the back seat. We can check when we get there."
"They're great, but really, they should know better." Jared smiled at Jensen and added, "Thanks, man. I'd appreciate it."
"Yeah of course," Jensen replied immediately. "How come you're not looking for any action? I mean, if you're single, don't you want to date someone?"
Jared drummed his fingers on the door for a long moment and then said softly, "I'm gonna trust you, Jen. I'm gay. My friends and family know... and now you do."
Jensen nodded, biting his lower lip slightly. "Which means you aren't likely going to date."
"Not until college," Jared agreed. "I'm not willing to pretend with some poor chick, either."
"Makes sense," Jensen agreed. "Wouldn't be fair to her or you really."
"Thanks for taking it so well," Jared said.
Jensen grinned. "There's nothing you could say that I wouldn't take well, Jay. Even if we've not spent any time together, I've always considered you my friend."
"Still, the whole gay thing... it's a big thing to some people. Mom got over it pretty fast, but dad's still trying to deal." Jared shrugged and frowned a little. "Still not sure how to tell Jeff."
"Well, I'd be a hypocrite if I freaked out that you're gay." Jensen took a deep breath and trusted Jared with his own secret. "I've known for awhile that I'm bi."
"Would be nice to have both options. You ever even considered dating a boy?" Jared asked.
"No, not here... that's not to say I haven't seen a few guys I've been interested in, but this place is too small for that." Jensen shook his head, but turned and smiled slightly at Jared before taking the final turn toward downtown.
Jared sighed. "Especially if you want to keep your popularity," he said and scratched beneath the strap on his chest. "Not something I have to worry about, but I prefer not to have a huge target on my head, either."
"Yeah, though you're probably big enough, strong enough, that people wouldn't bother you." Jensen said, tossing a quick look at Jared. "Yeah, I'm in my last year, just want to get through it without challenging the status quo too much."
Jared hummed a little under his breath and looked away. "Won't this break the status quo?" he asked.
Jensen blinked, pulled them into a parking shop and shut off the car. "Won't what break it?"
"Being with me," Jared said. "I'm just a freshman and a geek besides." He opened the car and climbed out.
Chuckling, Jensen climbed out of the car. "Nah, and if it does, it's not the end of the world. I want to get back to us being friends again."
"I'm not much like the eleven-year old you last knew," Jared said. "Well, maybe I am." He grinned and ran a hand through his long hair. "Still like the same dumb sci-fi and horror films and manage to fall over my feet."
"Still tripping over your feet?" Jensen teased. "Don't know then." He shook his head and bumped Jared's shoulder. "Let's get you a shirt... and for the record, I still watch the same movies we used to watch together, too, you know."
"Worse than ever," Jared said with a little grin. "Since my Padalecki genes kicked in and made me a giraffe." He bumped Jensen lightly and said, "Well, I never thought you developed any taste."
Jensen snorted. "I think you're growing up really well, Jay." He looked him up and down after tossing him a tee shirt from the backseat. "That might be a bit tight, but it'll offer some cover before we go inside."
"Is that as a friend or as a guy who likes boys?" Jared asked with a wink. He took the shirt and grinned. "Thanks." Carefully removing the sword belt and cape, he tugged it over his head. It stretched tight over his chest and arms.
Staring at Jared, Jensen had to clear his throat when he saw the way the t-shirt tugged across Jared's chest. "Both?" he said quietly, eying Jared again before turning toward the ice cream shop.
Jared chuckled and bumped against him gently. "Well, thanks then. Glad to hear I've gotten over the worst of the scrawny loser phase."
"The last thing you ever were, Jay, was a scrawny loser," Jensen said, scoffing.
Jared snorted and said, "You say that only because you didn't know me." He opened the door and walked into the ice cream parlor, already salivating at the idea of a Halloween sundae.
Jensen followed Jared into the ice cream parlor, closing his eyes and breathing in the almost sickly sweet scent of the ice cream and toppings. "I doubt you were really the way you think you were, Jay. You never see yourself as others really see you." He bumped Jared's shoulder. "What're you getting?"
Jared slung an arm over Jensen's shoulders and grinned. "Well, small fry, I was thinking we might split the Haunted Halloween Huge Sundae of Doom. Eight scoops, six toppings and enough whipped cream to drown a cat."
Groaning, Jensen wrapped his arm around Jared, hand coming to rest on his shoulder. "You were, huh? I think we might be able to manage that one."
"Six flavors and three toppings for me and the rest for you," Jared said with a perfect flash of teeth and dimples, before he dragged Jensen to the counter to survey their choices.
"That actually sounds about right, gigantor," Jensen teased, enjoying Jared's arm around him.
"Sweet," Jared said and then lifted both eyebrows. "Or I could just choose the whole thing, and you can hope I like a few of the same things you do."
Jensen poked Jared in the side. "Nope, I want some selections."
Jared laughed and pulled away from Jensen, calling to one of the servers who was free. "We're going to split one of your Halloween sundaes. I want peanut butter and chocolate, gory gooey, chocolate cookie dough and vampire vanilla with fresh banana, butterfinger and chocolate syrup, please."
"Jesus," Jensen muttered at Jared's selection. "Can you add the butter toffee, Frankenstein's Mintster, Mummy Maple walnut and coconut, with caramel swirl, white chocolate and marshmallow topping? Thanks."
"Coconut?" Jared asked and play gagged. "How come you never outgrew that? Always ruined our ice cream that way."
Jensen laughed. "It's the only way I can ensure that I get to eat my share," he joked, tickling Jared's side.
Jared yelped and leaped away, always ticklish. "No fair with the sneak attacks. Sheesh."
"Good to know you're still ticklish," Jensen grinned and wagged his fingers at Jared.
"Well, you can't outgrow everything," Jared said grumpily and pulled out his wallet.
Jensen put his hand over Jared's. "I got this one... you can get our next ice cream." He raised an eyebrow, silently asking Jared if that was okay.
Tilting his head and regarding Jensen for a long moment, Jared finally smiled and nodded once. "All right, Jen."
Letting out a breath, Jensen nodded and turned to pay for the ice cream. It felt like he'd won another small battle in getting back to being friends with Jared.
Jared grabbed their number and sought out a quiet table in the back, away from the kids of all ages celebrating Halloween. "This place is always so packed. That never changes."
"Nope, and it probably never will." Jensen followed Jared. "They don't seem to mind kids running around and stuff."
"Well, it's a family ice cream parlor. If they minded the kids, they'd go out of business." Jared plunked his ass down in a back booth, setting their number on the edge and scooting in.
Jensen laughed. "Yeah, true enough. So, what classes are you taking? Are you doing any extra curriculars?" He flopped in the booth across from Jared.
"Uh, Algebra 2/Trig, freshman English, World History, third year German, Biology, PE and Photography. I'm in the drama club. You?"
Looking suitably impressed, Jensen let out a low whistle. "Nice start. I'm in advanced bio, advanced chem, fourth year of Latin, Calculus, English and art. I'm on various sports teams throughout the year, but nothing this fall."
"Wow, a nerd and a jock, and pretty. No wonder you're like king of the school," Jared said. He stretched and yawned at the same time.
Jensen blushed bright red. "Just really love science... am looking at becoming a physical therapist. Funny how life moves along." He looked at Jared. "You look exhausted."
Jared snorted and said, "I volunteer at the pet shelter. They've been short handed lately, so I've been there a lot in the evenings."
"And you did it before the party tonight," Jensen said, in conclusion. "No wonder you were so ready to head home."
Jared frowned and scratched his chest. "Well, there really wasn't much reason to stick around. I hate getting goosed by girls who don't even know me, and this leather skirt apparently says pinch my ass to every girl who's had a little too much to drink."
Jensen snorted, eyes watering with the laughter he tried to hold back. "Yeah, well... I noticed you the minute I walked in the door. You stood out from the crowd in the right ways, and I can't say I blame the girls for making a pass at you."
Jared snorted and said, "Well, I notice you're still wearing your mask, Zorro."
"Oh right," Jensen said, laughing again and then reaching up to take the mask off. He shoved it into a pocket. "Completely forgot about the damn thing."
"It's a good outfit for you. Reminded me of the last time we went trick-or-treating without it being awkward," Jared said. "Cowboy will always be a good look for you."
Jensen grinned, ducking his head. "You think so? I never really thought about it, but that was our last really great year wasn't it?"
"Yeah. Before our ages drove us apart." Jared sat up and moaned happily as the server brought them their huge sundae. "Damn, that looks good."
"It does... huge, but awesomely good." Jensen picked up one of the spoons the server put on the table and eyed the monster creation in front of him.
Jared dug right into a mound covered in chocolate syrup and butterfinger and made an orgasmic noise. He shoveled another huge bite in and moaned even louder. "Fuck, this shit is awesome."
Jensen watched Jared for a moment and then dug into his coconut and maple walnut ice cream with a much quieter, but no less heartfelt, moan at how delicious the ice cream was. "This was a really great idea," he said after swallowing his mouthful.
Jared pushed away some cocoanut with a sigh and then uncovered the scoops of vampire vanilla, which was vanilla with streaks of raspberry through it. "Yeah. I'm glad you convinced me to talk to you. I've been mad at you for a long time, Jen."
"You have?" Jensen asked.
Jared pulled a 'duh' face and shook his head. "Sure you're in all those advanced classes?"
Jensen put his spoon down and looked at Jared. "And you never said... you never called me either Jay. How was I to know you were upset? For all I knew, you were busy too."
"Yeah, yeah, blame the eleven year old," Jared said. "I was scared to call, Jen. It was one thing to have you cut me out of your life by action, another to hear you actually say it."
Nodding, Jensen picked up his spoon. "We'll never know what I'd have done, though do we? I mean, you didn't call... so I never got a chance to realize you still wanted me around too." He shrugged. "There's no blame, except you could continue to blame and be angry at the fourteen year old who didn't know how to balance things."
Jared shrugged and looked away from Jensen. "It doesn't matter that much anymore. I mean, you'll be graduating at the end of the year and leaving anyway."
Jensen took another bite of the ice cream, suddenly finding it not all the tasty. It seemed to him that Jared didn't really want to get past the old hurts. "Yeah, I'll be heading to college next fall, but that's almost a year away."
"When do you start turning in your applications?" Jared asked, spooning in more sundae.
"Next month. I already sent one for early acceptance, but the rest will go probably by Thanksgiving if Mom has her way." Jensen grinned ruefully, digging back into the ice cream.
"Wow. That's pretty awesome," Jared said. "Sometimes all I want to do is get out of this town."
Jensen nodded. "Yeah, sometimes it feels like I've been waiting forever." He looked at Jared and smiled. "But sometimes I'm not in any real hurry to leave either."
Jared caught Jensen's eyes and then dropped his own, blushing faintly. "How do you ever manage to be single?" he asked in a slightly shaky tone.
The question caught Jensen by surprise, and he huffed out a breath. "Well, my most recent girlfriend dumped me rather unceremoniously and without a real good reason." He shrugged at the oddness of it all. "I think she realized that I was never going to agree with her about going off to college together, getting married and all of her dreams."
"Dude," Jared said gently, "that's kinda a good reason. I mean, if you wanted completely different things, it wasn't going to work out." He reached out with his right foot and lightly kicked Jensen.
"But why the hell is she thinking that in October of our senior year?" Jensen asked, shrugging. "I mean, I'm not saying that I wouldn't possibly be interested in a few years, but c'mon, we're still kids. Besides, and I didn't tell her this, but I've never even explored how I feel about guys, and that's not something I'm going to just ignore."
"Some people are ready to think that far in the future even in high school," Jared said. "I mean, a lot of people used to get married in or right out of high school. Anyway, sounds like you were best not to be dating her anyway, since she was thinking further ahead than you want."
Jensen nodded. "Yeah," he agreed quietly. "It was just nice to have someone." He shrugged and looked away before eating some more of the ice cream and daring to look back up at Jared.
Jared smiled and nodded, kicking him again lightly. "Hey, you can find someone else, Jen. There's a plethora of willing females out there. A lot of them would do anything for you to even smile at them." He shrugged his broad shoulders. "I mean, you're not stuck the way I am."
"No, but I'd likely end up with another one trying to persuade me that we are truly meant to be," Jensen snorted. "Doesn't mean I'd say no if I liked someone, but I think I'm just going to focus on college and getting through classes this year."
Jared rubbed a hand through his hair and smiled slightly shyly at Jensen. "Well, I can't really blame them for trying to hold on to you," he said. He took a huge spoonful of peanut butter and chocolate ice cream and moaned.
Jensen blushed at Jared's comment, getting hot all over with the way Jared sounded when he moaned. He ducked his head, trying to hide his fair skin now that the mask was no longer concealing him.
"Aw man, how can you still be shy?" Jared asked with a booming laugh. "You've been popular since you were like nine." He shook his head and stole a bit of Jensen's ice cream.
"Doesn't mean I like being the center of attention," Jensen said, playfully batting at Jared's spoon before stealing a bite of the moan inducing peanut butter and chocolate ice cream.
"Yeah, damn your parents for giving you all the pretty genes," Jared teased. "That's been my favorite flavor since the first time I remember coming here."
Jensen nodded. "It's good, but I've always loved the butter crunch," he admitted, taking another huge bite.
"ANd coconut," Jared said with a disgusted nose wrinkle. "Oh well, at least you're not perfect." He ate another few bites rapidly. "I'm sorry, Jen, for you know, not being brave enough to tell you how much I missed you."
Pleasure at the comment suffused Jensen, and he smiled brilliantly at Jared. "And I'm sorry for not doing more to keep you in my life." He reached out, tentative, and squeezed Jared's hand.
Jared turned his hand and twined their fingers, squeezing back. "So, no more of that then?" he asked.
"No more of that," Jensen agreed, doing his best to hide the shiver he got when Jared twined their fingers together like they were holding hands.
"Want to go trick-or-treating after this?" Jared asked with a grin. "The Wilson's house is awesome this year. I helped them decorate."
Jensen grinned. "Yeah, I really kinda do." For the first time in a really long time, Jensen was enjoying his Halloween the way he used to.
"Sweet!" Jared said and bounced in his seat. "Course, that means I have to put the rest of my costume back on..." He stuck out his tongue. "Oh well, candy is totally worth it."
"You've always loved your candy," Jensen said, doing his best to ignore the way his heart sped up at the thought of Jared walking along beside him without his shirt.
Jared grinned and said, "Well, some things never will change."
~~~~~~~~~~
Three more year pass, as they do
Jared escaped out of the noisy party with a deep sigh of relief and headed for the relative quiet of the back corner of the Murray's large backyard. He removed his feathered cap and wiped his forehead, wishing his Three Musketeers costume was a little less hot and that the October weather was not so unseasonably warm. Resting against a small bench that Chad's mother liked to sit and read on, he sipped his Coke and tried to cool off a bit.
Jensen watched his boyfriend escape from the party, not unlike he'd done three years before. His stomach still fluttered when he thought about the fact that he and Jared were actually dating... that Jared had said yes when he'd asked. He was so smitten, he'd even let Jared talk him into wearing a matching Three Musketeers costume, much to his own chagrin.
Jared stretched to the sky and then settled back with a sigh. He watched the back door avidly, hoping Jensen might sneak out to join him. He loved every stolen moment with Jensen, although he hated the Texas intolerance that drove them to be so secretive. More than anything, he longed to flaunt his boyfriend to everyone, but as long as he was in high school, he understood the need to be circumspect. His friends didn't care, but others might. And he was stuck here for awhile yet.
Clapping the guy he was talking to on the back, Jensen grinned and made a motion toward the kitchen like he was going for another beer, which he would be getting, but that wasn't where he was ultimately headed. Jensen was stopped by more than a few people while he tried to make his way outside, mostly people he'd gone to high school with who'd never left town. Once he'd hit the kitchen and snagged another drink, Jensen finally bailed out the back door with a loud sigh and then moved to Jared's side, collapsing onto the bench and leaning into his side. "Hey" Jensen said softly.
Jared turned and kissed Jensen briefly, but firmly. "Hey. Hot as hell in there, isn't it?" He fanned them both with his huge hat.
"It is," Jensen said, lips tingling from Jared's kiss. They weren't exactly hidden where they were, but then no one was out back or all that likely to stumble out the door. Jensen never would have headed out, if he hadn't seen Jared escaping. "You were the one who wanted to get all dressed up," he teased, though he didn't mind blending in with all of Jared's friends in the group costume idea.
Jared laughed and said, "Dude, I would've picked out us Tarzan and Jane outfits if I knew it was going to be this warm. And a hundred people jammed into a space more fit to twenty does not make it better." He leaned back and looked over Jensen with heat in his gaze. "And you do look good in the outfit."
Jensen tilted his head at Jared, smiling slyly. He thrilled to the heat he could see, allowing his own desire (and appreciation for Jared in his costume) to shine through. "That space definitely is not meant for the kind of party Chad ended up throwing. You having fun?"
Jared reached out and caught Jensen's hands in his own, tugging him close. "Yeah, Jen. I'm so glad you came for Halloween. It wouldn't feel right not to see you today."
"It's our day, Jay," Jensen said. Even if it was a silly thought, Jensen had always imagined that Halloween was their real anniversary. It's the most important one, in Jensen's mind.
Jared beamed and leaned in to kiss Jensen, nipping on his lower lip and tugging gently. "My parents know I'm not coming home tonight," he whispered.
Jensen blinked, eyes darkening at the thought. "They do? What did you tell them you were doing?"
"I'm eighteen, Jen, I didn't have to tell them," Jared said. "I only told them I wasn't coming in so my mother wouldn't worry. You know how she worries." He rolled his eyes and then leaned in close to Jensen again. "Hope you got a motel room with a real big bed."
"It has a king size bed," Jensen said, swallowing hard. They'd talked about this, talked about being together, and yet, Jensen still couldn't believe that Jared was going to spend the night with him. "Your mom's a lot nicer than mine, then." He'd still had a curfew his senior year, even though he'd turned eighteen before graduation.
"They trust me not to do anything stupid," Jared said. "And they know I've been happier recently than any time in high school. They know somebody's the reason for it." He ducked his head, a little shy in the face of what he was asking Jensen. "If you want, of course."
Jensen looked toward the house and then took a huge calculated risk by pulling Jared in and kissing him thoroughly. "I want, Jay... more than I can say."
Jared sucked on Jensen's tongue and moaned softly into the kiss. "Should we sneak off now?" he asked, eyes wicked. "The others are all on their way to being smashed, if they're not there already."
"Yeah," Jensen said, shifting on the bench and wishing fervently that they'd never even gone to the party. "You sure you don't want to go in and say goodbye?"
Jared narrowed his tilted eyes and murmured, "You want me to go inside and spend a lot of time tracking everybody down to say goodbyes they won't even remember tomorrow?"
Jensen shook his head. "No, just wanted to be sure you didn't want to." He smiled, pulled Jared in for another kiss and then broke it off with a gasp. "Okay, hotel... out of these costumes."
Jared grinned and wiggled his eyebrows. "Thought we could help each other get them off... slowly."
"Yeah," Jensen breathed, pushing up off the bench and grabbing Jared's hand in his. He tangled their fingers together and all but dragged Jared around to the side of the house and down the long driveway toward his car.
Jared laughed and hurried after Jensen. His boyfriend moved fast, and Jared had to step up his pace, even though he was still a couple of inches taller than Jensen. "Eager much?"
Jensen laughed, tugging Jared faster. "You have no idea."
"Oh, I might," Jared said with his own laugh. He pressed closer to Jensen as they moved. "You ever done this before?"
"Depends on what it is you're talking about doing, Jay," Jensen said. He'd experimented a little bit almost right off when he'd gotten to college... long before Jared had been an option or even a real desire in Jensen's mind.
"Uh, having sex," Jared said with a faint blush that he fought to hide. "Going all the way."
Jensen smiled. "First time with a guy," he said.
"This will be my first time for everything," Jared said. "I mean besides the stuff we've done. You probably knew that, though."
Jensen stopped next to his car and kissed Jared briefly. "I kinda figured since you said you hadn't dated anyone before." He stroked his hand over Jared's knuckles and forced himself to back away.
Jared smiled and waited for Jensen to unlock the car so he could crawl in. "Are you a top?"
"No idea," Jensen said, sliding in behind the wheel and smiling shyly at Jared. "I kinda figured we'd take turns trying stuff out to see what we like."
"Yeah, me either, though I've thought about it both ways," Jared admitted. "Especially with you."
Jensen blushed again. "Yeah?" he asked, grinning and starting his car. He was careful on pulling out onto the street and heading toward his motel. The last thing they needed or wanted was a ticket and the police were always out on Halloween night.
Jared put a hand on Jensen's knee and squeezed gently. "Been waiting for this, Jen. Waiting for a long time."
"You have?" Jensen asked, surprised by the admission. They'd talked about liking each other, but never really about how long that might've been.
"When we went back to being friends, I admitted to myself how attractive I found you," Jared said. "You don't know how many times I got hard just because we spent time together. And you moving away just made me pine more."
Jensen blinked in surprise, turning to look at Jared when they were safely stopped at a red light. "Really? For almost three years now?"
Jared squirmed a little in his seat. "Not sure why you're so surprised, man."
"You just never said anything," Jensen said, turning back to the road and doing his best to focus on his driving. "I mean, I knew you weren't upset anymore, but I didn't think you like me."
"We were friends, and you were about to go off to college," Jared said. "And then you were gone and over eighteen besides. It just wasn't something I thought I could have."
Jensen nodded. "I'm glad we were friends, at least. Getting to know you again is what made me realize that I really liked you more than anyone else I'd met."
Jared beamed and squeezed Jensen's leg again. "Drive faster."
Stepping on the gas, Jensen drove faster than usual, watching for cops and sliding through a few yellow lights in his hurry to get to the motel. He'd chosen one on the opposite side of town so his parents were less likely to see he was in town. "There's a second key to the room in the glove compartment. I'm going to park down near the end so you can get in the side and head to the room while I go in through the front."
Jared frowned a little and then nodded once, sad that they had to sneak around. "All right, Jen. What room number? These stupid electric keys never say."
"Room two fourteen," Jensen said, reaching for Jared's hand and tangling their fingers together. "I'm only doing this so that you don't have any problems. You only have a few more months until you're out of the town."
"I know, Jen," Jared said, voice soft. "I understand. I just don't like it."
Jensen pulled Jared's hand to his mouth and kissed his knuckles. "It won't be forever."
Jared leaned forward and kissed him softly. "I know. Hurry."
Pulling away from the last red light, Jensen turned into the motel parking lot and drove to the far end of the parking lot and pulled them in right near the far entrance. "The key will get you inside the outer door." He kissed Jared hard, cupping his face. "See you in five minutes."
Jared grabbed Jensen's costume and held on, keeping him close for the long kiss. "Don't take that long."
"I'll do my best," Jensen chuckled and nibbled at Jared's lower lip. He pulled away and then climbed out of the car. Jensen tossed the car keys to Jared. "Take your time," he teased with a wink before heading toward the front entrance of the hotel.
Jared sighed as he watched Jensen's ass. Finally, he headed for the room, moving quickly. He wondered if he should strip, but wanted the pleasure of them undressing each other.
Jensen moved quickly, waving at the guy behind the front desk and then took the stairs two at a time to get to the second floor. He forced himself to slow down, catch his breath and then let himself in to see Jared sitting on the edge of the bed.
Jared jumped to his feet when Jensen entered and stood there, nearly trembling with anticipation. "Jen," he said, reaching out for him. "Here."
"Jay," Jensen said, moving across the floor and sliding his hand into Jared's. He pulled his boyfriend in close and kissed him softly.
Jared kissed back, leaning down ever so slightly to best access Jensen's mouth. He pressed closer to him and gripped his costume top with his free hand. "Let's get these off. I want to really see you, Jen."
Shivering, Jensen nodded and then nipped Jared's lip. "Want that too," he breathed, stepping back slightly so he could reach for the vest over Jared's outfit.
Jared reached up and tugged off Jensen's silly musketeer hat and tossed it on a nearby chair, before doing the same for his own. He struggled off the outer vest when Jensen got it unfastened and then reached for Jensen's. "Never gotten more than teasing glimpses before," he murmured.
"You've touched me, though," Jensen said, remembering the way Jared slid his hands over the muscles of Jensen's back and stomach while they made out for hours. He continued with unbuttoning Jared's shirt once he had access, so ready to see his body again... to see how it had changed in the past few years.
Jared shivered as Jensen began to expose bare skin and tugged at his vest. "Here, let me get this off." He leaned in and nibbled at Jensen's chin and throat lightly. "And yeah, I have touched, but not enough and definitely not seen enough of you."
Jensen let Jared strip off the vest, but went right back to touching Jared's skin and working his shirt off. He sucked in a breath, aching at the sight before him. Sliding his hands up Jared's chest, Jensen tweaked both nipples and leaned in to nibble at Jared's collarbone.
Jared arched and bit back a cry when Jensen pinched his nipples. During their make out sessions, Jensen had learned he could drive Jared wild simply by thumbing over one nipple constantly. And now, they felt like large, aching targets on his chest. He began to tug at Jensen's shirt more uncoordinatedly, before pushing Jensen away a little. "Want this off!"
"Yeah," Jensen agreed, tugging and yanking at his shirt, pulling it out of the pants and then over his head. He couldn't be bothered to unbutton it. "Take off your pants," Jensen said, tugging at his own and then shucking them off. He'd forgotten his boots, so Jensen sat on the bed and began to yank and pull off the boots and socks. All he was left in when he was down were his boxer briefs that were tented almost obscenely.
Jared's mouth fell open as Jensen went into overdrive and stripped nearly bare in front of him. His eyes zeroed in on his boxers and the bulge pushing them out. Forgetting everything else, he fell to his knees and pressed his face right there. "Fucking hot, Jen."
Jensen moaned, reaching out and grabbing Jared's head. "Fuck," he moaned, Jared's face so close to his rock hard dick. "Please, Jay... want your clothes off, too."
Jared forced himself to look up into Jensen's face and nodded once. He pushed his cheek briefly against Jensen's cock and then stood, tugging off his shirt and working on the complicated fasteners of his pants. "Help me?" he invited.
"Absolutely," Jensen said, pushing Jared's hands out of the way and dealing quickly with the pants. He could feel Jared, hot and hard behind his fingers, and it made Jensen want to drop to his knees and just suck him in deep.
Jared kicked off his boots with some difficulty and tore his pants away, throwing them carelessly behind him. Standing there, nearly naked, with Jensen in a similar state before him, Jared found himself trembling in anticipation and more than a hint of nerves. Swallowing hard, he backed toward the bed and lay down, presenting himself to Jensen and trying not to blush.
Jensen moaned, following Jared to the bed and crawling up next to him. He propped himself on his side, head cupped in his hand while he used his other hand to trace soothing motions over Jared's chest. "So hot, Jay. God, you got even bigger, if that's possible."
"I work out even more, now that I have a boyfriend," Jared admitted, reaching out to stroke down Jensen's back and side. "Want to look good for you, Jen." He reached under to cup and tug at Jensen's cock through his boxers, loving the wet spot already forming there.
"It's definitely appreciated," Jensen said, moaning at the way Jared touched him - so light and yet eager. He rocked his hips forward slightly and then tugged Jared into a heated kiss.
Jared rolled until they were both on their sides, bodies plastered against each other. Their cocks brushed and bumped with each small movement, sending shocks of pleasure through him. His hands explored the soft, bare skin of Jensen's perfect back and then gripped at his ass, massaging and squeezing. "Want you."
Jensen groaned, sliding one of his thighs up the outside of Jared's, rocking their bodies even closer together. "Fuck yeah, Jay. Want you so much."
Jared kissed Jensen again, mouths slick and hot against each other. "How?" he gasped, hips thrusting restlessly into Jensen's. "How do you want me, Jen?"
"You tell me what you want," Jensen said, reaching down to grip Jared's hip and guide him into a steady thrusting motion that dragged their cocks together even more.
Jared's head and eyes rolled back, controlled by the grinding of Jensen's cock against his own. "Nngh. Hard to think," he panted. He grabbed Jensen's waistband and yanked on it, accidentally letting it snap back against his ass. "Want off."
Jensen chuckled, writhing against Jared to relieve the sting of his waistband snapping him. "You want those off, huh?" he teased, pressing little kisses over Jared's face. "Okay, then," Jensen said, rolling Jared onto his back. He knelt up and slowly lowered the boxer briefs down his hips and then down to his knees.
Jared wiggled out of Jensen's legs, so he could drag off his own boxers. He watched Jensen avidly, even as he did, moaning a little at the sight of his hard, beautiful cock. Sitting up, he dragged his fingers over the length, lingering at the slit to collect the moisture there, which he sucked off his fingertips eagerly.
Trembling, Jensen shifted to his hip so that he could kick his underwear away. He settled in on his back so that Jared could touch and explore him all he liked. "Love it when you touch me," he whispered.
Jared rolled with him and ended up splayed next to him on his knees. He bent to press sucking kisses along Jensen's side and over his chest. His fingers traced randomly, never settling anywhere, but stroking along soft, warm flesh. When he nosed over the bump of one nipple, Jared moaned and took it into his mouth, sucking voraciously and making the area slick and warm.
Jensen arched into Jared's mouth, hands coming up to clasp Jared's head and hold him lightly. He tipped his head back on a moan, lifting himself up slightly to be able to watch Jared mouthing at his nipple.
Jared switched sides and feasted on Jensen's other nipple, teeth and tongue intent on making the little nub as hard and peaked as possible. He lifted his head to catch Jensen's eyes, panting, "Fucking delicious."
"Yeah?" Jensen asked. "It feels amazing, Jay." He had no real words for the way Jared was teasing him, the delicious pleasure it was to have Jared touching him that way.
"Good," Jared said and snaked a path of bites, kisses and licks down Jensen's toned abdomen and into the slight trail of hair to his groin.
Jensen forced himself to keep his hips on the bed, though his body thrummed with anticipation of what was to come. He dug his fingers into Jared's hair and simply watched him.
Jared paused at Jensen's groin and looked at his cock for a long moment. He traced the curve from base to tip and back again, before lightly cupping the sack beneath. "I want to try to suck you," he whispered.
"God, please," Jensen moaned. "You can have anything you want, Jay."
"I may not be any good," Jared said, grasping Jensen's cock in a hand that trembled and leaning in to lick tentatively at the head.
Jensen trembled. "You touching me is good, Jay. So good."
Jared smiled up at Jared and sucked the head into his mouth, eyes shutting as he worked down Jensen's hard length. His hand stroked lightly at the base.
Doing his best not to surprise or hurt Jared, Jensen writhed on the bed. Though he'd had a few blowjobs from guys at school and even some in high school from his girlfriends, this was unlike anything he'd ever felt before. It was Jared, teasing and tasting him because he wanted to.
Jared jerked up a little as Jensen moved. He pulled off and considered with a little frown. Throwing his arm over Jensen's hips, he pressed down to keep him still, before taking Jensen back in his mouth. Sucking happily, he hummed softly in contentment.
"Fuck," Jensen groaned, dropping his hands to the bed and gripping the covers. He loved what Jared was doing, the heat of his mouth leaving Jensen shivering in desire.
Jared breathed through his nose and slid further down, forcing down his gag reflex. He stopped and used his hand to cover the rest, bobbing up and down slowly. Getting used to the feel of Jensen, hot and hard in his mouth, he sucked harder and hummed louder.
"So good, god, Jay," Jensen reached over his head with one hand, pressing against the headboard in a futile attempt to get more.
Flushed with the praise and desire, Jared tried to take even more of Jensen in, gagging a little as he did. Bobbing back up, he lifted his head to look at Jensen for a second, lips swollen and red from his efforts.
Jensen looked down at Jared, moaning at how gorgeous he looked with his lips hovering near Jensen's cock. "You're so amazing, Jay."
"Is it good?" Jared asked, still stroking Jensen's cock idly with his free hand. "Am I doing all right?" he licked a little at the moisture pooling at the tip, eyes still focused on Jensen.
"More than all right," Jensen choked out, his body quivering under Jared's innocent touches and teases.
Jared smiled and blushed in the same instance and then ducked his head to suck at Jensen again. His eyes slid shut as he concentrated on sucking and tasting Jensen. He skimmed his accidentally with his teeth right under the head.
The shock of Jared's teeth was more than Jensen was prepared to fight back and he shuddered, cried out and came right in Jared's mouth without any warning. He babbled, apologizing and cursing softly at the way his body fell apart.
Jared sputtered and then choked on Jensen's come, before pulling back abruptly to let the rest hit him in the face. He coughed his airway clear and then looked up, embarrassed.
Jensen panted, his heart racing and his breath huffing loudly in the quiet room. He could hardly believe how quick he'd come, how easily Jared was able to tip him into a quivering mess. Tugging at Jared, Jensen tried to encourage him up beside him.
Jared moved up Jensen's body and stopped when they were equal again, expression shy and hopeful.
Tugging Jared in, Jensen devoured his mouth. He tangled his fingers in Jared's hair and showed him how amazing he felt, how much Jared had just blown him away.
Jared kissed back, overjoyed with Jensen's response and eager to share their mixed flavors. He pressed tightly against him, erection a hard line against Jensen's side. He rutted a little helplessly, moaning into Jensen's mouth.
Jensen kissed Jared deeply, finally pulling back for small nibbles before he stared into Jared's eyes. "You are so amazing," he breathed, nuzzling at Jared's cheek and stroking a hand up and down Jared's side.
"So are you," Jared said and nuzzled Jensen's cheek. He pressed more firmly against him and whimpered a little in pleasure.
Reaching down, Jensen curled his hand around Jared's cock, stroking slow and steady. "Yeah?" he breathed, nuzzling Jared's cheek. "Wanna taste you too." Jensen pressed Jared onto his back and began a slow journey down his chest.
Jared whined high in his throat when Jensen's hand found his cock. He relaxed easily into the mattress, eyes fixed on Jensen's descent. He reached out to touch his boyfriend, needing to feel his soft hair and skin beneath his fingertips. "Yes, please."
Jensen mouthed at Jared's abs, loving the curve and ripple of the muscles beneath the surface. He nuzzled at Jared's belly button before mouthing his way down the trail of hair that led him lower and lower. "So gorgeous, Jay," Jensen murmured, hand stroking him lightly while Jensen leaned up on an elbow to suck the tip into his mouth.
Jared nearly howled and jerked sideways in response to the first touch of Jensen's mouth on his cock. He grabbed the bedclothes in both hands and twisted hard to prevent himself from seizing hold of Jensen instead. His breath caught like he'd been punched, stuttering in his lungs.
Pulling back, Jensen soothed Jared slightly and then curled his arm over Jared's hips to press him into the mattress. Jensen took a deep breath, let it out slowly and then slid his mouth of Jared's cock. He suckled on the head for a moment, tongue flicking into the leaking slit to gather the moisture there before he pushed further down and swallowed Jared into his throat.
Jared arched as far as Jensen's hold on him allowed and howled. He had never felt anything half-so intense as the sensation of being swallowed down. "Jen. Oh Jen, please."
Jensen moaned softly in response, knowing the incredible sensations the humming would give him. He held Jared tightly to the mattress, hollowed his cheeks while he sucked his way up Jared's cock and then swallowed him as far down as he could again. Jensen wasn't getting all of Jared, but considering the way his boyfriend was built, that'd take him some time to do.
Jared reacted helplessly, completely at the mercy of the devilish, delightful mouth that tormented him. He could barely breath, let alone make any intelligent sounds, through the sensations. And each time Jensen hummed, it was all Jared could do not to rocket off the bed.
Jensen took a quick breath when he pulled up, sucking in the air needed in order to take nearly every last inch of Jared's into his mouth and throat. He closed his eyes, suckling Jared and humming around him. He couldn't breathe, but he didn't want to... not just yet. Jensen loved the way it felt to have Jared trembling for him.
Jared's mind and body overloaded at the same time, so he passed through his orgasm in a white haze of the most intense sensation ever. He had no way to warn Jensen or control his body from thrusting up as hard and far as physically possible. If nature didn't make the actions involuntary, he would have forgotten to breathe or keep his heart beating.
Jensen moaned and then did his best to swallow all if Jared down, but had to pull off when he couldn't take any more. Gasping for air, Jensen stroked Jared's cock through his orgasm.
Jared collapsed with a whoosh of air and lay there, dazed and pliant. He managed to flicker his eyes open and smile gently at Jensen. "Jen," he murmured in a wrecked voice.
Crawling up the bed, Jensen flopped down next to Jared and curled his arm across Jared's stomach. He nuzzled in, sighing quietly and cuddling as close as possible.
"Wow," Jared said and turned to press a kiss to Jensen's forehead. He rested a hand over the curve of Jensen's perfect ass and stroked slowly.
"Yeah, pretty much the most amazing wow," Jensen said with a low, throaty chuckle. He snuggled in closer, loving the way Jared just settled in.
"Can we, uh, do more later?" Jared asked, not wanting the evening to be over.
Jensen chuckled and then laughed outright. "Yeah, after a nap." He was more than a little tired after driving down that day, but looked forward to packing in as much time together as they could over the weekend.
"First time I've gotten to sleep with you," Jared said shyly. "I like being wrapped up with you like this." He slid a finger curiously between the crease in Jensen's ass and touched his hole lightly.
Shuddering, Jensen moaned into Jared's throat. He writhed around slightly and then grabbed Jared's hand and moved it back up onto his ass. "Sleep, Jay. Rest up and we can do more in a couple of hours."
Jared pouted a little when Jensen moved his hand, but then curled it around his ass. He snuggled deeper into the pillows with a sigh and shut his eyes. "Who can sleep?"
"I can," Jensen said with a quiet chuckle. "You still wide awake?" he asked, unnecessarily.
"I'm still too excited," Jared said. "You know, it was thirteen years ago today that we met... and now look at us."
Jensen nodded, opening his eyes to smile at Jared. "Look at us," he echoed, pulling Jared into a deep kiss. "From friends to boyfriends."
Jared sucked on Jensen's tongue and smiled contentedly at him. "Never thought you'd want me that way."
"Wanted you back a few years ago, Jay," Jensen said. "But you were too young, and I was leaving. Didn't make sense."
Jared stroked Jensen's cheek and said, "Thanks for waiting for me, Jen. I didn't think you would ever look my way."
Jensen kissed Jared sweetly. "You've been it for me since I was a kid. I just didn't know it. I'm just glad you waited for me."
Jared flushed and ducked his head, tucking it into Jensen's shoulder. "You think I'm it for you?"
"Yeah," Jensen admitted, blushing. He'd not really meant to say that, to put that out there, but it was the truth and he wasn't going to take it back.
Jared beamed and kissed Jensen hungrily, pulling their bodies flush with each other, so Jensen was half sprawled over him. "I want this to last, Jen. I want you to be it for me, too."
Jensen hummed softly and settled against Jared. "Good... cause I want it, too." He rested his head on Jared's chest, listening to the soft thump, thump of the steady beat that gave him hope they could do this.
Jared stroked through Jensen's hair, tangling the silky strands in his fingers. He sent up a silent prayer to whatever deity might be listening that they would find a way to stay together.
