That... was... ;___________________________;

SO SAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!!! *bawls her eyes out*

Dear god I LOVE it. It's short but so cute and sad and angsty!! Poor twins, poor Athena! It's really well written and powerful. It gave me many ideas and mental images.

Thank you for this gorgeous little piece of writing.

Thank you!! ^____^ *bounces around and is so happy to know that you liked the pic that much*

That pic started as a mini-doodle (which is why her face was out of the page....XD *lol*), just to draw Saori's chest with her laying down. I wasn't going to scan it, but it was on the same page than another pic, and I ended up scanning it too. CG tempted me, and by the time I was done coloring her skin, hair and clothes, the final idea slammed into me (*pictures the Muse hitting me in the head with a shovel, and the idea sprouting* XD *lol*), and I realized that her face hidden by the pic added a nice even though it was by accident sentimental touch. I then added tears to her face, and started messing around with the background to have her laying on the grass with the flowers etc. :3
The idea of Athena favoring the Gemini twins is one that's been bouncing around in my head for quite a while. :D The most obvious example of it is the fact that as a baby, she saved Kanon from drowing in Sounion Cape...despite the fact that at the same age, ( ... )

I had to comment on this. The Goddess, thinking of the twins in a "loving" way? How was I not going to comment?

First, I love the drawing. The pose is so expressive. As if the pain were so uncontrollable, that she can't even lie comfortable on the grass. There's something in the way her hands are... I can see her gripping the grass tightly and pulling it, out of frustration/sadness. Tears aren't enough to express what she feels anymore, I'm sure.

Then, the drabble... Oh old, sweet angst, how good you are. I adore the idea of Athena loving someone but not being able to give that love because of who she is. It just seems so logical. I have so much love for that last line too. *____* It conveys the feeling of the whole drabble really well.

In short: *GLEE*

*flying bounce-glomps*
I'm also crazy for the idea of her loving the twins! :D (And there's even the canon stuff to tempt us to go that way!! XD *lol*)
I'm so happy that you liked that much the drawing and the pic! :D *bounces happily*
It was done mostly on instinct. XD I never drew CG grass before, and was trying to make it appear soft and present, without being invading in the pic, but with the little flowers etc. I'm happy with the final result, especially because it came from so far. XD *lol* (the original was a messy quick sketch I did, and I had scribbled over it because I though it wasn't good, and I was planning to throw it. *lol* When I changed my mind and scanned it, I had to erase the lines crossed over it. XD *lol*).
The drabble was also written in one hit directly on the post as I had everything ready to post. ^_^; *lol* It was a last minute idea just to explain the situation of the pic, but it ended up getting a bit longer, and fitting the pic much better than I thought it would. :3

Hnn... I'm actually a hater of this woman you have drawn. My high morals could never condone what she and her mortal adopted grandfather have done to countless people. But! I have been trying to give her a chance more and more. And for pure artistic's sake I must comment. The drawing is soft yet forlorn, which is very hard to achive so I aplode to that. The drabble really does fit the pictures so it makes for a good read. Well done!

I think the reason why I like her so much is because I see more the goddess in her. I see 'Saori/brat from when she was a kid' and 'Athena-the goddess from when she grew up and awakened her personality' as two completly different entities. Now, that Mitsumasa Kido made a lot of people suffer is undeniable, but in the manga they go more in depth through the fact that he also suffered a lot to sacrifice 90% of his children to created the goddess' protectors. In the anime, things sound much worse. XD
I'm happy that you liked my post (pic+ drabble) despite yor dislike of her. :)

Btw, did you draw that Milo in your icon? It's so cute that it hurts! XDD *lol*

The drawing and the drabble make a wonderful combination. I just love the little stories that every pic of yours has, like the one you gave me. :D

Hehehehe, thank you! :D *bounces happy to know that you liked it*
I usually draw a pic with an idea or a setting behind it, so I have fun coming up with a few lines to illustrate it. :D

No, I didn't draw it. It was off this three panel comic I found off of a Japanese site called XXX, I just used it to my advantage.
