BWOOOONGGGGGGGG

So I just saw Inception for the second time, and yes, date gets bonus points for taking me to see it. ^^ Also, thank velociraptor I did, because there's a ton of things I noticed that I'd either forgotten/missed the first time around.

For one, Robert's dad's name is Maurice. I don't know where I got the idea that he was Robert Fischer, Jr., but I ( Read more... )

Oh oh oh, you re-watched Inception! I've seen it three times now, and every time was even better than the last one.
I want to discuss now :D

I don't know where I got the idea that he was Robert Fischer, Jr.
Maybe because Eames calls him "Fischer junior", at least once. And he kinda is Fischer junior, just not Robert Fischer junior. If that makes sense for you :)

Also, the very first dream -- Mal looks at this really cool twisted painting and says it's Arthur's style, and later deduces that the whole dream is Arthur's based on the setting. I find this interesting for two reasons, one, because it gives some insight into Arthur
Yeah, I find that interesting too. I think it's cute that everyone who knows Arthur can recognise his style in his dreams. I really like that the film hints at the fact that the hotel setting with at the luxury and characteristic colours is somewhat typical for Arthur.

Also also, Eames has serious daddy issues, doesn't he? Like, half his lines are about Robert's relationship with his father. Also, he's gotta ( ... )

Oh, hah, fantastic. I'm not crazy then. Well, no more than I already thought I was.

everyone who knows Arthur can recognise his style in his dreams.
Or, at the very least, Mal. And I am now craving me some Arthur/Dom/Mal fic, because Mal and Arthur really are quite interesting. Especially with the, you know, "She was lovely," thing going on. Trudging about on the kink meme made me want to write something where the Cobbs meet Arthur because Mal wants to try out a threesome and is attracted to this pretty young thing they see somewhere, and after a while the three of them all prove to be entirely incapable of keeping emotion out of sex and it all snowballs. . .

luxury and characteristic colours is somewhat typical for Arthur.
Exactly, yes.

it could also just mean he's very focused on the job
True, true. And damn but he is, isn't he? I mean, I knew he was brilliant, but he really is insanely genius smart, isn't he? But still, just the way he immediately latches onto ( ... )

I'm very pro Arthur/Dom/Mal, especially if you're going to write it. You write one of the few Doms I actually enjoy reading about. ♥

but he really is insanely genius smart
He is. And handsome. And kick!ass. I never realised how much he kicked ass in that snowlevel until the third time I saw it. But then ... *__*

where Cobb's squinty face is his sex face
I KNOW I KNOW. I suffered so much in the cinema. It was horrible. All I could think of was one of the team saying: "This is your orgasm face? SERIOUSLY?" I'm already looking forward to the DVD, so I can squee and comment without bothering people at the next rows.

Why, thank you. :3 I blame White Collar for turning me into an OT3 fan. Or maybe Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Or maybe Rebel Without a Cause. Or Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot. . . okay, maybe I just like threesomes. O_o

He really does kick some serious ass, doesn't he? They all do. Cobb in Mombasa and Arthur in the hotel, especially.

Isn't that fic priceless? It's. . . You're waiting for an orgasm, if I'm remembering correctly.

Oh yes, I'm terrible when I watch tv on my own/with close friends. I'm constantly shouting at the dumb characters and making little half-repressed squeeing noises.

In the theatre this time, though, I spent a lot of time trying to explain what was going on to the person I was with. Eventually he just kind of looked at me and said, "You really like this movie, don't you?"

Yeeesss.

For one, Robert's dad's name is Maurice. I don't know where I got the idea that he was Robert Fischer, Jr., but I need to go edit Killing Kittens.
He technically is Jr. because his father is the older Fischer aka Fischer Sr. in their company. You are not wrong. ^^

Also, the very first dream -- Mal looks at this really cool twisted painting and says it's Arthur's style, and later deduces that the whole dream is Arthur's based on the setting. I find this interesting for two reasons, one, because it gives some insight into Arthur, and two, because Cobb tries to subtly deny that it's Arthur's dream, which makes me think he's protecting him, which is adorable.
I think if you kill the dreamer, the dream will collapse so Dom didn't want Mal to go around offing Arthur too soon before he got to the secrets in Saito's head. ;-;

Also also also also, Arthur is a total GQMF. I know there's all that squabbling in the fandom going on about him and his suits, but yeah. He is.
Fuck. Yes.

I appreciate this logic. Well, I appreciate any logic that says I'm not wrong. :P

Ooh, right, right. That was actually another thing I made note of in the theatre, but apparently forgot about by the time I got home. Thanks. The little Arthur/Cobb fangirl in me still thinks it's cute, though.

I'm trying sooo hard not to turn into an Arthur/Cobb or Arthur/Saito. I'm a fan of Leo. And I think Arthur belongs with Eames. But....;-;

I know, I know, but they're all just so slashable. And seeing it the second time really was making me think Cobb/Saito. I mean, Cobb's just so, "I came back for yoouuuuuuu. So we can be young men together!" Really, Cobb? Reeeaaally?

I did notice a lot more little looks and whatnot between Arthur and Eames, though. :D
