Maybe because Eames calls him "Fischer junior", at least once. And he kinda is Fischer junior, just not Robert Fischer junior. If that makes sense for you :)

Also, the very first dream -- Mal looks at this really cool twisted painting and says it's Arthur's style, and later deduces that the whole dream is Arthur's based on the setting. I find this interesting for two reasons, one, because it gives some insight into Arthur
Yeah, I find that interesting too. I think it's cute that everyone who knows Arthur can recognise his style in his dreams. I really like that the film hints at the fact that the hotel setting with at the luxury and characteristic colours is somewhat typical for Arthur.

And when he got stuck in the tiny little alleyway, I can't be the only one whisper-shouting TURN SIDEWAYS, YOU MORON. But there was some epic running around and jumping off balconies and whatnot. . . Okay, maybe the first dream, in the hotel. That was pretty badass. Ooh, ooh, and when he woke up from that into the other dream and started kicking ass. Yeah.
