Loyalty Binds

Title : Blood and Fire: Loyalty Binds
Characters : Shura, Kanon
Word count : 2,142
Note : AU, vague angst? Set in "Blood and Fire", a variant universe, and maybe ... oh, six months to a year before the point when the series would start, if this were the canon universe. (I think.)

It's a little hard to explain ... ^_^

In another universe, Kanon was meant to stay in the Cape .. )

shura, fic, kanon, taichara

Wow, too -- and everything else what was said above. Through this ficlet I glimpse a huge universe with political schemes, power race in the royal court, angst and adventure...yum, I love these to death, I've got tons of questions raised and own versions already building up...in other words, I'm v.& v. hoping to see more of this.

Please? :-)

Bless ye all for the kind words! :)

There is indeed a whole universe behind Loyalty Binds, although I only have one other ficlet to go with it so far (an Aioria and Shaka moment, not nearly so 'important' as this one is. Just some statting-out-the-universe scenery.).

I need to get that Ohko scene done, though ... *sighs*

What I do have is a growing horde of short character descriptions, and the more I collect, the more they intertwine. The thing is, I've slowed down dramatically because I didn't know what to do with all of them once I have it set up ( ... )

Saori never survived ;D

Hm, I somewhat suspected that. ;) Your atmosphere is quite pre/post apocalyptic, the world which going down with no messiah to come and fix it. As for questions, I've got ones that probably are explained in other parts (such is why Jamian is spying on Shura, was Shura designated for his task, where does Kanon go when he's out of his head, why Saga did not kill him).

Also -- since Kanon's blonde -- you are sticking to manga canon? Or its AU, to be exact?

Plus I'm happy to see those neglected cool characters as Ohko (and Shura) will be featured. :-)

The funny thing is, I never wrote Saroi out of the world deliberately; I just happened to finish working out the Golds and the majority of the canon Silvers, spent some time thinking over some of the other characters ... and realized there really was no place for her.

It works out well though ;D The world might get fixed, but there's no easy way out. Ehehe.

Questions ... well, at the moment I only have Loyalty Binds and Pawns written, and am working on one (two?) other scenes. And lots and lots of background material, because ye gods, I need to keep track of what's going on *laughs ( ... )

Poor Shura has always been one of neglected "uncute" Saints, along with his horned helmet buddy Aldebaran. I still might not like him personality-wise much (he sacrificed his life for Shiryu, for someone's sake, what a bloody useless way to end one's life! Let alone this lead to never ending flashbacks of him in every second episode :P), but my jaw dropped down nonetheless when I saw him in Hades eps. Hugs and kisses for infernal plastic surgeon who returned Shura as the bestest looking from a whole bunch of 12! ;)

Damn. O_O I love you. This is incredible with it's description and great characterisation. Also I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one who mused over a possible universe where Kanon never left Cap Sounion. ^_~ I'm really intrigued and now I want to know the rest of your story (but since Kanon is my favorite, I may have to wait until you go onto developping his part more once again), as if I understand right you are planning to write more right? Rigth?? You have to! O.O

Kanon may, someday, get out of the Cape ;) Or something ..

I'm piecing together characters and backstory and trying to think of what might kick off the actual story (which will probably become some terrifying epid I'll be too frightened to conemplate *laughs*), so I don't know exactly when I'll get back to Kanon.

(Although if the plotbunny bites, I might write how he got in there ...)

Teaser note: It might turn out to be Kanon who kicks off the Big Battle -- and not through suddenly displaying Fantastic Cosmic Power, either!
