Tonight at 10:30 we got a knock at the door. A deputy served my husband with a complaint for summary ejectment. The bitch filed eviction papers on us. I'm researching it now because I don't think she followed correct procedure, not to mention wasn't completely accurate in the complaint.

Update on the housing situation
Things with the current landlord have gotten worse. She finally figured out that I stopped payment on the rent check. She came down Saturday morning and started screaming at me. Apparently, her bank credited the check before it actually went through my bank so she now thinks I somehow made her bank give me the money back. I actually did the stop ( Read more... ) -
My baby is two today
We had her birthday party over the weekend when everyone could come, but today is her birthday. It's hard to believe she's already two. Seems like just yesterday that I felt her first kick. Now she's running around getting into everything. -
Birthday party
My little one will be turning 2 on Tuesday. We did her party today. At first, it wasn't looking like it was going to be much of a party since hardly any of the invited guests were coming. None of my family came. Several of the guests were sick so they couldn't come. But we just invited a few more people and it worked out.

My best friend called yesterday to ask if I wanted to bring my daughter over to play in the kiddie pool. Since it was so hot, I said sure. I slathered my daughter up with sunblock and let her go. More landlord drama
We tried our hardest to get out by yesterday, but everything worked against us. My husband's truck did sell at the last moment so we had the money. However, we couldn't find anything in our price range, except for one place that wasn't available until July. So we had to stay here. Most of the house is packed so it's a pain. Well this sucks
It looks like we're not going to be able to move after all. I was hoping we'd be able to come up with the money in time, but everything is working against us. Despite having 2 of our cars in the paper, neither has sold. My laptop did sell, but $100 isn't going to get us very far.

Lots of good news
After I posted the last time, I was all depressed because it was like everything was going wrong. Now it's barely a week later and things have turned around for us.

The story behind the move
Our landlords go back and forth between being really nice and being total pains. On their nice days, they've let us be late on the rent when my husband's been in the hospital, they give our daughter candy or toys, and occasionally give us stuff that they no longer need or other tenants have left when they moved out. Right now we're having issues with the landlord (long story-will post when I have more time) so we're packing up our stuff so we can move as soon as we find a new place.
