It's a booming industry and schools don't teach it, my friend does it and was self taught.

Coding of what, exactly? i really want to be doing web design. i would feel more secure with a company that hires people with at least a certificate.

Coding for web sites, I'm going to be learning more about it this Sunday from my friend, I'll try to answer your questions better after. He says a lot if company's are not looking for both coders and graphic designers though, since I thought that a valid question, he's 23 and makes $40 an hour on something he learned himself. There's a site too where employers looking in that industry use where he got his job off of.
