Craig Ferguson and The Boston Marathon Attack

Apr 17, 2013 19:16

So...I stole this from killerweasel. I was just able to watch it today. We've all be inundated with this horrific act of terror. I cried silently as I watched it unfold. I don't get it. I can't get it. As a woman who spends her work hours helping to save people, I just can't wrap my head around anyone who would do this to random folks. Craig says it ( Read more... )

I continue to believe in Mr. Rogers - "Look for the helpers," he says. "There are always helpers"

Thank you for posting this. As remarkable as it seems, I've seen very little on this. I've seen a few pictures, a few clips, but my day does not allow for/include/whatever time for watching the news. I've heard the numbers, etc., but just . . . I haven't sought out news on this.

Still, I think Craig is very correct. Whether international or domestic, this was an act of terrorism. End of story.

I don't have much time for it either but I found myself watching this when I could, mostly to try and understand something I can't understand. Also- it was and is amazing to see the people who ran toward the bombs. RAN TOWARD THE BOMBS! to help those who needed help. So despite the horror of it all, it does remind me that there is so much good in this world. I need to believe that so I do.

I agree. I think it was not just his words, but the emotion behind them. *clutches heart*

That was so well put. Thanks for posting this! Ironically, I don't think we get Craig's show in the UK. (Although I could be wrong!) He's so right about this being an act of terrorism, even if it was just some nutjob acting alone. Any person who can deliberately build something intended to shred people to pieces and leave it next to a crowd of innocent people including children is a coward who does not deserve to breathe any longer.

Don't think we do get Craig in UK, but will check on Sky. Agree completely with the sentiments already expressed and I remember an explosion involving nail bombs in the '80's in London, courtesy of the Provisional IRA. Eleven soldiers and seven horses were killed. Just horrendous:(. Hoping the bastard/s responsible for Boston get their comeuppance ASAP

Agreed. Mindless killing. I can't wrap my head around it. *deep sigh*

I know. It has me struggling with the reasons and rationales behind it. There aren't any I suppose.

I love Craig. As a night nurse, I find myself watching him (sometimes while in a patient's room) sometimes at home in my screwed up night/day issues. He's a smart, insightful man. And pretty damn funny too!
