I've just noticed that the tiny icons I use are overwritten by the custom userheads from LJ. I've managed to mess with the padding to set name and icon in one line again but I'm lost to figure how to remove the custom userhead again. The picture name doesn't seem to have changed. So I'd be really grateful if you could have a wee look.

I tried to change my little LJ userhead icons with code I copied and pasted from this comm, but I apparently did something wrong. What I want to do is change the userinfo.gif, community.gif, and openid-profile.gif to 3 new userheads (the userinfo.gif will be different from the community.gif and so forth). I just got the Miami Cityscape Expressive layout and want to do some minor customization to it. For years I've been using Flexible Square and I'm not exactly sure how I even made my layers for that in the first place.

My mini-icons (the lj user ones, not the security ones) are suddenly AWOL, and the regular livejournal ones are showing instead. Was there a bit of a coding change that just happened or something? I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I'd love it if someone could point me in the direction to fix this.

I'm new to Expressive so I don't know much about the CSS. So, I used this guide. Eventually, I was able to make my own layout, little by little.

I have a few questions, though.

1. How do I fix my comment page?! It's all messed up. I want to customize it - from the comment header, text area, and so on. [This is what I'm talking about.]

When did the address of the security and user/community icons change? I just noticed it today. Does that mean if we want our own custom icons to show up (instead of one for all) that we need to change the address in the code ( Read more... )
