Title: A Place In The Sun

Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. Bad summary… sorry!
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot, but I sure wish I owned more...
Inspiration: The nice, warm and sunny weather that has been with me the last few days and the song Summer Time by NewS is also a source of inspiration kinda...
A/N: Hope you'll enjoy the update, even though it's pretty short... sorry for that.

Two days later…
"Okay, so I'm off for lunch now" Ueda said picking up his bag from the floor.
"Where're you heading?" Jin asked from the couch in the dressing room where he was seated with Kame in his arms.
"I'm going to meet up with Ryo for lunch; he's taking me to a small restaurant just a small way from here." Ueda answered while checking that he had everything with him.
"Ah, a lunch date" Jin grinned. "That's nice, say hello to him from me will you?"
"Yeah, sure. And just for the record this is not a date." Ueda said, and walked out from the room swinging his bag over his shoulder.
As he walked down the hall to the elevator he ran into Yamapi, who assumingly was on his way to meet up with Jin and Kame.
"Ah, Tat-chan" Yamapi smiled brightly. "You're off to your date with Ryo? I think he's downstairs in the lobby."
"Yeah, he told me to meet him there." Ueda didn't even bother to correct him on the fact that this was not a date. Yamapi would probably not believe him anyway and just wave it off.
"Well have fun" Yamapi said patting Uedas shoulder as he started to walk away.
A few minute later Ueda almost walked into Nino from Arashi when he rounded a corner.
"Hi Ueda-kun"
"Hi, Ninomiya-san" Ueda said politely with a nod.
"What is this I hear about you and Nishikido dating?" his sempai asked with a naughty grin on his face. Ueda stared at him a bit startled at first, he had no idea the word of his and Ryo's friendship had travelled that far.
"We're not dating" Ueda finally corrected. "We're just friends. And out of curiosity, might I ask you where you got that from?"
"It doesn't matter, words travel fast in a place like this. You should know that by now." Nino grinned mischievously. "Well, see you around, and I must say you two make a lovely couple."
"Bye" Ueda said giving out a deep sigh as he watched his sempai walk away before he continued towards the elevator.
When Ueda walked out from the elevator he spotted Ryo standing by the entrance, his hands deep in his pockets and a look of deep thinking on his face. A smile spread across Ueda's face as he walked up to Ryo; after all he hadn't really seen the other guy since they came back to Tokyo. They had only talked on the phone a few times a day, and Ueda was really looking forward to their lunch together.
"Hi" he said simply and put a hand on Ryo's shoulder when he approached him. Ryo got a bit startled at the sudden touch; he had been in another world and not seen Ueda coming.
"Oh, hi princess" Ryo smiled. "I didn't see you there"
"I figured, so what were you thinking about?" Ueda smiled back, as Ryo linked his arm with his and steered their way out from the building.
"Oh, nothing really." Ryo answered. "So, I've been looking for places for our vacation, it starts in about 3 week's right?"
"Yeah, so what did you find?" Ueda asked as they stopped at a crosswalk.
"I found lots of nice places; I'll show you once we sit down." Ryo looked first at his right and then his left "I printed some of it out this morning"
"Smart thinking. " Ueda said as they started to cross the road. "Everyone in NewS coming along?"
"Yeah, well Shige and Koyama are hesitating a little." Ryo answered. "They're not sure what they wanna do on their time off yet. "
"Okay, well everyone in KAT-TUN is all in, Jin is the one most excited about it."
"Of course he is" Ryo smirked and let go of Uedas arm and walking up to the entrance of a small restaurant. "This place has great deserts, especially the chocolate cake." He held the door open for Ueda like a true gentleman.
"I guess I'll have to try that then" Ueda chuckled as he walked pass Ryo and into the restaurant.
"You were right. This is really delicious!" Ueda said after taking the first bite of his chocolate cake. They had finished their food just minutes before, and had decided to try the deserts.
"Of course, I'm always right" Ryo smirked, taking a bite of his own desert, raspberry cheesecake.
"Can I taste some of yours too?" Ueda asked, after taking another piece of his own cake. "I wanna see if yours as good mine."
"Sure, here" Ryo answered taking a piece of his cake on his spoon and held it out in front of Ueda for him to eat it.
"You're feeding me?" Ueda asked amused, and a bit surprised.
"Yeah, so? Just eat it already or I'll take it myself." Ryo snorted and was just about to pull the spoon away when Ueda leaned in and took the spoon in his mouth.
"Oh my, that was just as delicious as mine. I'm surely going to come back here again." Ueda smiled satisfied and dug into his own cake again.
"So, can I taste yours?" Ryo asked smiling.
"Yeah, here." Ueda answered and mimicked Ryo's action, holding out his spoon to Ryo, who leaned forward and took the spoon in his mouth. "How was it?"
"Really good!" Ryo answered enthusiastic, before he took out some papers from his back pocket. "Here are the things I printed out."
"Ah, that's right. Let me see" Ueda said and Ryo handed him the papers.
"I especially like this place, and we can get there by car or train." Ryo said taking out one of the papers and put it on the front of the pile for Ueda to look at. "It's only like 3-4 hours ride, and it's a small town, not as small as where we were two days ago, but still small enough to be cozy. And also it's not that popular by tourist yet so…"
"Hmm. Yeah, I like this one as well, it looks really nice. Are there any good hotels?" Ueda asked looking up from the papers.
"Yeah, there are a couple of them. And when I checked with them yesterday they still had lots of rooms available. "
"You've done a lot" Ueda said impressed. "You really want this vacation to happen."
"Yeah, well. I miss the beach" Ryo said. "So, should we decide on this?"
"Yeah, I'm in on this one, but shouldn't we ask everyone else as well?"
"Nah, it was our idea so we get to decide the location." Ryo said, finishing his cake.
"Yeah, I guess. So should you or I make the booking?"
"I'll make the booking. I have to look with Shige and Koyama before I do thought" Ryo answered and threw a glance at his watch. "Oh, we better get going. Lunch time's soon over"
"Well, I'll call you later when everything's booked and so." Ryo said as they were standing outside the elevator after reaching the fourth floor.
"Yeah, do so." Ueda smiled.
"So, take care." Ryo said and shocked Ueda by pulling him into a hug.
"You too." Ueda said slowly hugging him back, from the corner of his eyes he could see that they were being not only observed by Jin and Yamapi, but also MatsuJun and Aiba from Arashi, a few juniors, and some staff members. Jin and Yamapi were grinning in their directions and he was sure they both would hear about this later.
"So, yeah bye" Ryo said pulling back from the hug.
"Bye" Ueda smiled giving a little wave as Ryo walked away towards his dressing room. As soon as Ryo was out of sight Ueda started walking in the other direction and towards KAT-TUN's dressing room. He heard someone running up behind him and he was almost certain it was Jin so he was not the least bit surprised when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"You and Ryo surely look comfortable in each other's arms" Jin said with a grin.
"Yeah, well he is my friend and friends give each other hugs sometimes, right?" Ueda said, trying to sound like he wasn't bothered by Jin's comment.
"Yeah, I guess. So how was the date? I heard that you feed each other while gazing into each other's eyes" Jin continued, the grin on his face growing even bigger.
"What? Who told you that?" Ueda asked perplexed as he stopped walking.
"Oh, someone from JUMP saw you." Jin explained. "Feeding each other isn't that something couples do?"
"We didn't feed each other. We simply tasted each other's desert, that's all." Ueda said starting to walk again, this time faster as if trying to get away from Jin.
"Aw, come on Ueda. Just admit it already, you are dating Ryo" Jin called after him.
