Ok, so the mother in law came and went, and now there's more stuff in my house and in my storage unit. I have some 'antique' furniture... I dunno. Its probably from the early 1900's, and I guess it is nice that its real wood and all but its a very old style and I just don't know what to do with it right now. Clearing out boxes and stuff
The Mother-in-Law is coming to visit for the weekend, and she's bringing a bunch of antique furniture from the east coast with her to dump off, er I mean give to me. May Day
Its been really nice out here in NoCal, with temperatures in the 80s and even a little bit of surprise rain. The rain caused a small "SuperBloom" (click on the link) at Folsom Lake which, in turn, caused a lot of traffic and look-e-loos.

Vaccine
I received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine. 12 hours later the only effect was arm soreness, maybe some tiredness.
When I woke up today at 8am I felt pretty bad. Stuffy nose, no energy, a little cold. I went in and out of sleep for a while, eventually I got up and drank a lot of water. I felt better about an hour later.

Quick update
So, no jury duty. I went, I stood in line outside, they sent me home before I even got to the front door.
So, "yay"? But I had to get up early and trek down to the courthouse, so "Neigh".
Solar system was inspected, everything peachy keen. Now waiting for the electric company to sign off then GTG.

Sadly I cannot dodge Jury duty anymore, I have to go in tomorrow.
Right at the same time I'm getting the solar system inspected! I'm going to have to leave the garage open for them to get in. I don't actually have to be present, luckily.

Happy Saturday the 13th.
Didn't do much today; sharpened most of my knives. Found out that whetstones from Japan are slightly radioactive, although from what I'm reading its not dangerous (so long as you don't actually eat the stones or something).
Been playing Switch games, like Link, Breath of the Wild. The horse riding in that game is pretty ( Read more... ) -
Happy 2021
Hope everyone is having a nice 2021 so far.
I'm not under any illusions about a drastic change this year compared to the last. The lockdown has got everyone on their last nerves as it is, and I don't think we'll see a vaccine for the general population until late Spring, I'm guessing.

My motivation levels for just about everything are very low recently. I can't seem to get the willpower to do anything that's not directly related to work. I think I'm just too hard on myself, too much wanting for perfection.
I can generally do good things with the animals, since I don't think they expect perfection from me. They are analog ( Read more... )
