Seven good things

Jun 12, 2008 00:37

I have been watching a movie that's making me sad and lonely, and what better to do when you're lonely than snuggle up to the internet in the middle of the night? So I am choosing from among my unposted posts, and tonight I choose "good things."

* Tiny tiny baby puppy, adorable baby seahorses, and praying mantis thrill.

* Melanie Roach: mother of ( Read more... )

That shark is weird looking.

Yay for good things!

You or I could easily slip into that shark's mouth, and she wouldn't chew us up, but still, freaky! I wonder if that's where Noah's story came from.

:) John Barrowman always qualifies as a good thing, right?

Doesn't hurt! I'm actually indifferent on the shirtlessness but if we wants to flaunt a bit of forearm, so much the better! :)

Karen Allen has looked like that for the last 20 years - Don't you think that it's odd she looked old in the 80s and now looks her age??

Melanie Roach sounds like an impressive woman. At judo competitions it's not unusual to see people jogging round car parks or skipping with lots of jumpers on to make their weight categories. I don't think I want to see them chewing gum and spitting though :o

The tiny baby puppy is adorable but I like the one of it pulling a face in the thumbnail that is there on that page also :D

(Hubby took a picture of me rescuing a slow worm the other day when I was doing a spot of ground clearance - I'll have to post it soon.)

Oh my goodness. You're completely right. I hadn't thought about it, but it's true. Good for her, I guess. :)

That face-pulling puppy pic is adorable too, I agree. ::melts:: (I wouldn't want to own a teeny dog like that, but they're cute to look at.)

What's a slow worm? Oh, I'll find out, it sounds like a delightful picture. I look forward to it. Worm rescues of any kind are good things.

Oh - it's a sort of lizard that gets mistaken for a snake... you don't have them/call them something else maybe?

Oh! I did know about that critter, but I didn't know/remember what they were called. And they're a protected species, so yay for you for saving them.

We don't have slow worms on this continent, apparently. The closest thing we have is probably the skink. They have somewhat snake-like bodies but the do have legs, though the legs are sometimes hard to see.

I heard her story on the radio and I think I was tearing up a bit myself. :)

Oddly, maybe, it was De-Lovely with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd. It felt personal and just wouldn't let go of me.
