John William Waterhouse became my favorite artist some time ago. I'm not really sure how or why. He's not a particularly engaging, tragic, or even mysterious personality. You may have read about the Prop 8 protest rallies/marches that happened across the nation yesterday. I was very pleased to have been able to attend the one in LA with Dave, Mary, Brianne, John, and a group of their friends. Estimates for the event here ranged from 12,000 t 25,000, which is huge.
