Love it! But... wasn't Rorschach actually sort of polite with Silk Spectre? I mean, I know they're not friends and all, but ... My brain kinda can't imagine them talking to each other this way...

Sure he was polite -- after she yelled at him.
Dunno, not sure how polite he really was. They barely talked to each-other and never had a scene alone. Or maybe he was just more easily ruffled back then. It's hard to say.
If it doesn't work, it doesn't work though... I'll see what I can do or scrap this part entirely.

ck! err,well I won't then.
Still the dialogue was the ONLY part that came out naturally, easily, and if it doesn't work then the point of the whole darn thing is moot. -_-
Dunno, I thought after 5-7 hours of being cooped up waiting for something to happen, her more or less babbling at him the whole time this was a natural result. She says something that frays his temper, he says something sarcastic, she responds poorly. It seemed natural to me, but... if it doesn't work. :( Bah, what should I do? Any ideas?

Of course! Rorschach's nibbling at me but I got a busy day of watching horrible movies and getting wasted with friends ahead! I'll probably get something written tomorrow as usual, though (only day of the week I consistently have off of work).
If you mean write more of Laurie though... ehhh probably not that likely.

Pfft, screw Laurie(no, not literally). I just want more Rorschach action. :) Everyone knows that Rorschach and Dan are the only characters who really matter in Watchmen.

Ohoho that was great as always dear. Also I'm a terrible person and laughed at the way they argued, specifically the insults they used. Characterization seemed spot on, great job!

Thanks Holyheat! *L* I dunno... ehhhhh.... I really hate Laurie, for all there is a lot of me as a teenager in her. There'll be more Dichotomy, of course. I still have to write Rorschach's first time putting on the mask, when he met Dan on patrol (though apparently Dan was active before Rorschach was), what made them decide to partners and anything else that wants to nibble at me...!

Acccch, *uncomfortable* I think I have to agree with raffi__ above about some of it being a bit vicious - I think a lot of Rorschach's greatness comes from his more casual manner, his disrespect for people merely being mentioned in passing because he really doesn't care enough to put effort into insulting them XD. I can't quite explain it though, I'm sorry -.-;
(one particular thing though - do you think Rorschach would really refer to himself as pure? I think he tries his best but he knows he's only human ...)

Saying that, there were some moments I really loved. "Paternal issues, Silk Spectre?" was one of them, very nice ^-^

I read one of your replies above, about Rorschach first time putting on the mask, and his partnership with Dan. No pressure, but i'm so excited ^o^

Thank you for sharing!

I guess this is just where we disagree; he could've cared, I think. Back before Blaire Roche's case broke him. And I think he would be vicious; it's never confirmed that Laurie ever DOES any crime fighting; he may not have ANY respect for her as a fellow vigilante, especially given her dubious moral actions. I really do think the politeness we see may be because the two of them are NEVER alone. What, he's going to diss the living hydrogen bomb's girlfriend to his face? He's going to insult the reason his only friend finally took up being a vigilante again to HIS face? No. However, Laurie has no such qualms about being consistently rude to Rorschach ( ... )

OK, that's a very good point you have there, about him being different when they're alone. I think we still disagree somewhat, but you've definitely made me reconsider how he would behave to her. Thanks for adding a new slant to things ^-^
(and thank you for the JonBennet Ramsey link, an interesting read~)

I think I can understand your intimidation, but I don't think you should worry in the slightest. I was thinking "Well, they [the mask, the partnership] are pretty big topics to write ...", but with the way you've approached so many things before, I certianly don't think they're beyond your capabilities XD Whether you decide to take a shot at them or not, good luck!
