I guess this is just where we disagree; he could've cared, I think. Back before Blaire Roche's case broke him. And I think he would be vicious; it's never confirmed that Laurie ever DOES any crime fighting; he may not have ANY respect for her as a fellow vigilante, especially given her dubious moral actions. I really do think the politeness we see may be because the two of them are NEVER alone. What, he's going to diss the living hydrogen bomb's girlfriend to his face? He's going to insult the reason his only friend finally took up being a vigilante again to HIS face? No. However, Laurie has no such qualms about being consistently rude to Rorschach.
And yes, I think Rorschach would indeed refer to himself as pure (sexually). Unlike a lot of the other vigilantes, I'm fairly sure he takes no sexual pleasure from any aspect of being a crime-fighter.
*shrugs* Eh. It's just my take on it. Maybe it was the 'mommy's little whore' line that was too much, but silk spectre II makes me think of Jon Bennet Ramsey, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JonBenét_Ramsey , who famously had an artist do a post-humous art show on her. The art? It was just three photographs of the little girl, each punctuated with a word underneath. MOMMY'S LITTLE HOOKER .

OK, that's a very good point you have there, about him being different when they're alone. I think we still disagree somewhat, but you've definitely made me reconsider how he would behave to her. Thanks for adding a new slant to things ^-^ (and thank you for the JonBennet Ramsey link, an interesting read~)
I think I can understand your intimidation, but I don't think you should worry in the slightest. I was thinking "Well, they [the mask, the partnership] are pretty big topics to write ...", but with the way you've approached so many things before, I certianly don't think they're beyond your capabilities XD Whether you decide to take a shot at them or not, good luck!
