i love this entry. if i stop being lazy can i paraphrase it and make it anonymous and repost it? of course, say "no, you may not. i'd feel uncomfortable" if you don't want me to.

I agree. Anniversaries are stupid.
My aunt's "deathaversary" was on Wednesday and I didn't even realise it.

Oh computers, haha.

I'm not condoning remember the anniversary, we're a sentimental species, we like holding on to memories and sentimentalizing days. I just...on 9/11, someone linked me to this website with absolutely gaudy, sparkly, 9/11 merchandise, and stuff like that just ticks me off, so that's part of where this ramble came from.
