Many things of little consequence...

Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dazed! :D

Secondly, sorry I've been letting this journal get neglected again.

Thirdly, my copy of Digital Art Masters: Volume 2 (published at last) arrived the same day as HP 7, so the 21st of July was very much orgasmic. I'm somewhere near the end ( Read more... )

Some of those names... they're the kind of thing that millions of HP fans have named their guinea pigs. XD It was unbelievably cheesy, but I think she just about managed to get away with it. Sort of. Well, not really...

It would have been an interesting ending if Harry had died. Loaded with more power and meaning, but then JKR's house might have blown up with the resulting tide of letter bombs sent her way.

I don't know... perhaps she was right to end it this way? Harry went through a lot of crap for the side of 'good' so perhaps being rewarded with something better than death is more appropriate and satisfactory as the moral of the story?

But she did kill Harry. He just got better.

Snape in love with Lily seemed a touch creepy to me and I had trouble buying that even that would make Harry name a kid after him, but overall, I had a great time with the book.

Hogwarts is now the Neville Longbottom School of Kicking Ass!

I agree with you on all counts.
Remus and Tonks deaths felt like afterthoughts.
And I don't know what was up with some of those kids' names at the end. Scorpius Malfoy? WTF.

Totally. But Rose was a good name, I felt. Superb, in fact!

I screamed and then I cried when Fred died. Who's going to team up with George now to send Harry confiscated toilet seats, eh?!

Then Dobby died, too. And Colin Creevey. And Lupin and Tonks. Oh noes, I'm crying again.

Yes, that name.

P.S:I've missed you Rose-sama. Yet somehow, I knew Harry Potter would draw you out.

Damn, I forgot about Hedwig.

Hedwig! ;o;

JKR had reported that two characters were going to die, so by the time Hedwig and Moody were gone, I felt I could breathe easy again. And then Dobby bit it. And then FRED. AND THEN LUPIN AND TONKS.

I don't know, Colin's death made me laugh a bit. But that probably means I'm just a bad person.

Long-story short, JKR is a filthy liar, and all those 'rocks fall and everyone dies' memes about the last book were horribly, horribly true. ;.;

02. THAT SHOULD HAVE NOT HAPPENED. D:

03. and then Lupin turned into Maes Hughes "I've got baby pictures!" omg I should have saw it coming too, but I totally thought they were just sleeping as well until Harry had to go into angst mode kfdkdjfg.

I think he should have kicked off the name Albus, it bothers me more than naming someone Severus. But Draco's kid's name was like Scorpio or something had me "....*dies inside*"

Somehow I (also) knew you were going to post when this book came out. (After rereading HBP last week I remembered your quote about there now being canon for Draco/Harry, lol).

Snape's life was so tragic, that entire chapter made me sob so hard (and I never even liked him). When I think about it, I get all choked up (so TRAGIC, like so many characters in anime lawlz...but siriusly). I seriously want to see an AU where James doesn't exist so he and Lily can hook up...no, I'm not joking 0_o.

Dude, I cannot WAIT for all the fanfics. I just hope there's more good than bad.
