Firstly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dazed! :D

Secondly, sorry I've been letting this journal get neglected again.

Thirdly, my copy of Digital Art Masters: Volume 2 (published at last) arrived the same day as HP 7, so the 21st of July was very much orgasmic. I'm somewhere near the end ( Read more... )

Some of those names... they're the kind of thing that millions of HP fans have named their guinea pigs. XD It was unbelievably cheesy, but I think she just about managed to get away with it. Sort of. Well, not really...

It would have been an interesting ending if Harry had died. Loaded with more power and meaning, but then JKR's house might have blown up with the resulting tide of letter bombs sent her way.

I don't know... perhaps she was right to end it this way? Harry went through a lot of crap for the side of 'good' so perhaps being rewarded with something better than death is more appropriate and satisfactory as the moral of the story?

But she did kill Harry. He just got better.

Snape in love with Lily seemed a touch creepy to me and I had trouble buying that even that would make Harry name a kid after him, but overall, I had a great time with the book.

Well I mean, it's actually more Christ-like with what happened...he DID sort of die, but he came back. (Willingly went to his death, and then King's Cross was kind of the inbetween place, and then he CAME BACK ZOMG).

What's really awful is the new slash ship I'm sure JKR hadn't thought about...the AS/S ship. Just think about it, for a moment.
