Tails was outside his workshop, playing wallball by himself, by hitting the ball with his tails. Things had been going pretty busy lately so he wanted a bit of time to just be a kid before getting back to work. Besides, it was a good way to stay active.

Eventually he missed the ball though and it bounced up the street, forcing him to jog after it. When he picked it up though, he found himself in the path of someone he wasn't familiar. "Oh hello," he greeted Billy cheerfully. "Are you new here?" It was possible he wasn't, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Billy was lost in his thoughts as usual, and because of that nearly tripped right over it, stopping just in time to spot it and it's owner. A talking fox..with two tails. Well. He was in another universe with parallel beings. Why not?

Trying to muster up the friendliest smile he could without looking too out of sorts, he nodded. "Yeah..is it that obvious?" He was sure it would be. That was of course unless someone else had met the 'other' Billy.

"Not really," Tails replied, bouncing the ball on the ground a few times. This guy wasn't staring and he appreciated it. "I just don't remember seeing you around. But more people have been popping up lately, so it was worth asking right?"

"Most people call me Tails, who are you?" He paused to study Billy more closely for a moment. "And did you come through the tree or are you a native?"

Well that was a good thing. Billy had thought he was radiating 'newb' so he was glad that it wasn't that painstakingly obvious. "Right."

Tails, that was..fitting. "Nice to meet you Tails, I'm Billy. And I came through that tree. Did you?"

Cassandra was walking back from her special archery spot. When she stopped to readjust the balance of the quiver over her shoulder, she spotted him. Barney or Billy? Both were listed among the missing, according to Ianto's list, so either one would be a bit surprising. She had yet to determine if the surprise was pleasant or not.

After a few moments of observation, she decided it couldn't possibly be Barney. The gait was all wrong, not to mention the fact that he wasn't soliciting sexual favors from any of the passing demon girls, and there was a population of them present. Billy. Unless, of course, there was now a third one of them running around. In Rowan, that seemed every bit as likely as anything else.

She watched again, resting her knuckles against her lips. Try as she may, she could not pick out a separate, new identity. It had to be Billy. Still, something just felt wrong. Cassandra opened up her senses. There it was. The aura was completely different. Still sparkling like a worldwalker, but the color was ( ... )

As Billy continued on his mini adventure he couldn't help but feel as if he was being watched. He'd noticed from time to time that he was. He only assumed it was because whomever was staring had known the previous Billy. Not that he looked like something they could eat. He hoped.

Finally he nearly passed a voice, stopped right in the middle of his step, and turned around to face the woman. Was she talking to him? A quick glance said yes.

"I'm sorry...do I know you?" He tried to sound a little less confused than he truly was. Being Billy, that was a hard feat.

Cassandra raised an eyebrow. Well, he had engaged her, time to go in. She walked over to him, holding the strap of her quiver with both hands. Today was one of her more presentable days, really. Since it was her day off from the tavern, she had taken the time and trouble to both wash and actually comb her hair. It was still a wild mane of mahogany curls, but at least they were curls rather than tangles.

Given his confusion, she figured her opening bid should probably be her initial question. "Billy or Barney?" she asked. "I assume it's Billy. You don't have the proper gait to be Barney and honestly, if I thought you were Barney, we wouldn't be having this conversation now. Where have you been?"

He watched the woman come closer, her figure more visible. And making him more nervous than he wanted. She looked like one of those warriors from a medieval story but then again, there were few things here that didn't. Still. She had a bow.

Barney? There was another person like him? He would definitely have to research this alternate universe theory. He wondered how many people actually looked like him, but that would be for another time. It appeared as though she knew the 'other' Billy. To this he nodded slowly, "I am Billy but not that Billy."

Yeah. That totally made sense. With a sigh, he folded his arms. "I mean, not the Billy that I think you know. We're still the same person, I guess? But from different time frames." He hoped any of that made sense. He was still trying to figure it out himself.

Oki, for his part, had been somewhat keeping to himself ever since arriving back in Jhelbor. It wasn't that he disliked being around people, but he was really connecting with anyone. It had been awhile since he'd even come close. So he continued to do odd jobs around the city, mainly physical labor, to earn money, while watching people try to establish any sort of normal life here.

At the moment though, he was simply sitting on one of the city walls, watching everything and nothing in particular from behind his mask. City life was still very different and confusing to him, despite having been here for so long. He actually missed the little village in the past, back before the city of Jhelbor existed.

A movement on the nearby street caught his eye and he turned his full attention to the man who seemed to be trying to seem at ease with something than he was. It made him curious to see what he was doing exactly. "Are you having any trouble?" he asked, loud enough to be heard.

Having not really noticed anything more than what was in front of him, Billy pulled his gaze away from one of the shops that he was observing. Someone was talking to him? Blinking, he glanced around and then to the walls until he finally found the source.

"Oh, no. I'm just uh..meandering." That was a proper word for it. Did it necessarily mean he was having trouble? No. Not yet.

Oki nodded, drawing one knee up to lean on. "I see. You're familiarizing yourself with the city, are you not?" he asked. After a moment he pushe his mask up to rest on his forehead, remembering that some people would rather see who they were talking to when speaking face to face.

Billy knew his 'out of place' facade was most definitely noticeable. He nodded, a little sheepish, and stuck his hands into the pockets of his sweater. "I am. Still new here."

He watched curiously as the stranger pushed his mask up to rest on his head. Billy had seen a lot of masks in the liking during his short lived villainous career, so he might have been mildly used to it. It reminded him of his goggles. Which he missed dearly.
