Oki, for his part, had been somewhat keeping to himself ever since arriving back in Jhelbor. It wasn't that he disliked being around people, but he was really connecting with anyone. It had been awhile since he'd even come close. So he continued to do odd jobs around the city, mainly physical labor, to earn money, while watching people try to establish any sort of normal life here.
At the moment though, he was simply sitting on one of the city walls, watching everything and nothing in particular from behind his mask. City life was still very different and confusing to him, despite having been here for so long. He actually missed the little village in the past, back before the city of Jhelbor existed.
A movement on the nearby street caught his eye and he turned his full attention to the man who seemed to be trying to seem at ease with something than he was. It made him curious to see what he was doing exactly. "Are you having any trouble?" he asked, loud enough to be heard.
Having not really noticed anything more than what was in front of him, Billy pulled his gaze away from one of the shops that he was observing. Someone was talking to him? Blinking, he glanced around and then to the walls until he finally found the source.
"Oh, no. I'm just uh..meandering." That was a proper word for it. Did it necessarily mean he was having trouble? No. Not yet.
Oki nodded, drawing one knee up to lean on. "I see. You're familiarizing yourself with the city, are you not?" he asked. After a moment he pushe his mask up to rest on his forehead, remembering that some people would rather see who they were talking to when speaking face to face.
Billy knew his 'out of place' facade was most definitely noticeable. He nodded, a little sheepish, and stuck his hands into the pockets of his sweater. "I am. Still new here."
He watched curiously as the stranger pushed his mask up to rest on his head. Billy had seen a lot of masks in the liking during his short lived villainous career, so he might have been mildly used to it. It reminded him of his goggles. Which he missed dearly.
"Welcome then. I am Oki." He wasn't really what most people considered a great conversationalist, but he knew the basics. "How are you finding it here?"
This one wasn't much of a social person either, and could do with one or two lessons in being a conversationalist. He offered a friendly smile and a nod. "Thank you. So far fairly...quaint? Everyone seems to be willing to help and not in the least bit unfriendly."
"There's not rot really a reason not to for now. Things have been mostly peaceful here recently." It was definitely better than the alternative in Oki's opinion.
That's what Penny had told him. It was then he realized that he was being rude and hadn't introduced himself. "That's definitely not a bad thing. My name's Billy, by the way. It's nice to meet you Oki."
Oki nodded, but didn't say anything for a moment. He really wasn't sure where to go from here. "...Nice to meet you too. Tell me, what sort of place did you come from?"
"Um...a place a lot like the other World Walkers I guess.." Though he wasn't quite sure what the difference was. So he'd stick to the basics. "A city like this, only bigger buildings, more people, and waaay more technologically advanced."
