Cedric had noticed the time shifting, and he was doing his best not to. Going to sleep and waking up either a couple of hours or days later was going to drive him up the wall if he let himself dwell on it. He was trying to focus on cycles of personal days and ignore the fact that the sun was completely at odds with it half the time. Right now it felt a bit like breakfast, and so he was staunchly ignoring the fact that everyone sitting at the tables he could see was clearly enjoying dinner. He just needed food. He needed food and to not think.

Ianto could only stare fixedly at Jack for so long before his gaze flickered away. Normally he realised his lapse immediately, but this time his eyes had landed on a worldwalker. A worldwalker he'd meant to talk to as far back as August, before labyrinthine forests and mad druids and Jack had gotten in the way. Ianto supposed he might be forgiven for putting this particular conversation on the backburner. He took an automatic step forward, then stopped and looked back at the other end of the room. Yup, there were Jack and the manager, still quite firmly within the same time period. Good. Okay. He could do this.

"Cedric Diggory," he said when he got close enough. "Buy you a drink?"

"Ianto Jones." Cedric was about to say it was a bit early for that, but then he looked out the window - at the dark sky and the stars, and he'd only woken up about an hour ago, and it had been dark when he'd gone to sleep. Maybe a drink wasn't such a bad idea. Just one. "Sure. Thanks." Cedric looked around the room. How could so many people be so accepting of this? "Should we sit?" he asked, nodding at a recently vacated table. "I was going to have some br-- food." Because you didn't eat breakfast in the moonlight. You just didn't.

Breakfast. "You just woke up, then?" Ianto glanced over at Jack (yup, still there), then looked back at Cedric as they sat down. It was possible he was a night owl, but the time disturbances were a much more likely culprit. "And you didn't even have to wait for it to be five o'clock. Knew there had to be an upside to this somewhere." A waitress was already bearing down on them, despite the business of the tavern. Paid to come in with Jack, Ianto supposed. "I'll have another pint," he told her, indicating his nearly empty glass, then looked to Cedric.

"About an hour ago," Cedric said as they sat. It was actually pretty warm in here, and what he could see in the bottom of Ianto's glass looked like lager. Lager or a very dark cider. Either way-- "Same, and... whatever's on the fire." No idea what the daily special was - not that it mattered much either way. Some variation of meat and veg that he'd end up eating regardless, because he had to eat something. "So... are you on time with the rest of the city?"
