A word on adoption and my life in general

For those of you who don't know, I was adopted.

I was adopted at birth and have known this since I was about 7 years old. Any time I mentioned my adoption there on out to my parents was responded to uneasiness and uncomfortableness, even though I made sure they knew I knew they were my "real" parents. So I never asked about my birth mother, and who

Very clear to see you was excited about the info you got. Also very glad to see that it made you this happy.

When the time comes, I do hope you find your birth-mom and that you have a nice meeting.

I wish I had a magic envelope similar to that. I don't though. I only know certain things about the history of my birth mom's side, and I knew that my birth father was in the navy and was very difficult to get the paperwork on since he had a dick for a superior officer. I wish I could find out personality information, tendencies that you've found out. Congrats on the wealth of information, but be sure you have a good support structure to hold you up no matter what you find.

Maybe someday I'll be able to meet mine.

i'm glad your parents handed over the information when you asked; it made all the difference in the world with my (ex) sister-in-law... and might have made a difference to my ex-husband as well. i think it takes a great deal of bravery. :) and very cool that you shared a lot of traits. :D
