No one seems to care much about weapons here. Not when they can't kill anything. You might wanna check them actually. My gun only fires pellets now.

[Iriel hissed between her teeth. She began checking everything. The 9mm came first. She checked the safety, made sure the barrel was clear, and then pulled the clip out. The bullets were definitely altered. Iriel stood and pulled the knife from its sheath next, and tested the edge with the pad of her thumb. Dulled.

Iriel looked next at the quiver of arrows at her back and pulled one out with her fingers at the nock...

Blunted.

Each revelation made her more angry. More shaken. She looked at Riah incredulously.]

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. They don't take weapons away. They have an armory full of the damned blunted things. And they think that that's going to keep people from hurting each other? It's just going to make them determined or creative or get them killed when they can't defend themselves.

Never said it was a good idea. I just said what they did.

[He shook his head. It might have worked if everyone here was willing to work together but they weren't. Some people here were just too far gone, too twisted, to want to work together. The fact that there had already been punishments was proof of that.

What these people needed was someone to actually protect them.]

They're not bothering to do anything besides that to keep the people safe here. Lots of people have already died since getting here, and even more have been hurt.

This is a damned mess, and I don't like it. If I find a way out I'm escaping. Are you with me if I do?
