Today was the first day of the thyroid scan, to see if I have Graves' Disease or not. Tomorrow I go back and I think they said it would be shorter. I hope so

I'm guessing a mini-window like that would probably come in under your deductible, and is probably not worth reporting to insurance. Reports raise rates, and will probably cost you more in the long run.
We had one of our sliding door windows broken by who knows what... we ended up just fixing it ourselves.
I'd say find out what your insurance deductible is, then get an estimate on fixing it and weigh them against each other.
Best of luck on the tests. Hopefully getting a diagnosis will take some weight off.
I'm guessing a rock that popped out from underneath someone's wheel. I think I remember seeing a dump truck ahead of me... it's likely that he bounced around, through out whatever was in his truck bed and I was the lucky one who got the physics just right for a break instead of a harmless bounce.

Also, any idea what the heck hit you? I mean, that's pretty crazy, something to come flying at your car horizontally...
