This was written by my evil twin

Earlier this summer I was writing a five-times fic with Leoben. At one point I had a section with Gaius talking to Leoben on the cylon basestar; that bit kept degenerating from drama to weird sort-of comedy, so I decided to be as degenerate as possible and finish that part separately ( Read more... )

Gods, what had he done to deserve this?
*snicker* Oh, Gaius. I love this!

Heh, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was my first time to use Baltar in a fic and he gets put into the crack. (I liked misusing him a bit too much.)

Ah, now I see where the Leoben-Baltar-Hybrid cracklet I saw on bsg_crack came from!

I laughed out loud several times reading this, I'll have you know. I've never written crackfic, but after reading this and user's "Rogue Unicorns" piece, I find my own evil twin begging to be let out to play more and more... ;) I think I've just realized that Baltar really lends himself to crackfic, perhaps because of all the humor that James Callis originally put into the character (although these days, Baltar is more emo, less humor)

Was Leoben hitting on him? Because he had standards. Not that he couldn't swing that way, but the male cylons weren't that appealing ... but it was definitely Man who had designed the cylons;

*snerk* Oh, Baltar. You don't so much as have standards as you just happen to be really, really lucky (or perhaps cursed) that all the women of the BSG universe - Cylon or not - are drop-dead gorgeous.

this made me laugh a lot too:
Gaius looked longingly at the doorway. Maybe if he ran out? But the cylons ( ... )

Thanks for popping in and letting me know you enjoyed it. Really, I wish I had more crackfic ideas because they can be so entertaining to write.

I just peeked back at the few comic things I've written and realized that all of them have Leoben. This is not at all surprising, considering that any character as obsessed as Leoben (with Kara) or Baltar (with himself) is a perfect target for a bit of mockery. Have fun writing comedy!
