MalcolmD says: Hmm, Alpha Flight is back, eh? Their death was poorly written, but I missed their resurrection--what do you want to bet it was equally hackneyed?   9_9   I can imagine why Byrne created it way back when, but I'm not sure why they bother now. Why write about Canada and Canadians if they can't find a writer who knows anything about the subject or enough US-American readers who care?

Still, if that bit about equating the CBC with Fox News is true, then that's pretty funny. This may turn out to be a hilarious parody of US-written story about Canada, like a Canada-centric episode of South Park.

p.s. I continue to love SatyQ's work for you.   ^_^

p.p.s. And now we must devote all of our efforts to getting Cary Elwes a Green Arrow series!!!

I don't know the details but apparently the cast of Alpha Flight were just some of the character resurrected by the Chaos War storyline last year, but the ones that remained alive at the end.

It's funny, but I once read that Byrne created the Alpha Flight characters just for the Uncanny X-Men story they originally appeared in (where they try to take Wolverine back to Canada) with no intention of ever using them again. Marvel insisted that he author the Alpha Flight regular series which he only did begrudgingly. I wonder if that's why he killed Guardian off so quickly, and why the characters were rather stereotypical.

I love the sketches SatyQ does for me too! Just wish he was easier to get a hold. As is, we now seem to average 2 sketches every few months. Just wish I had more coming my way than just the final two.

Cary Elwes as Green Arrow would be fantastic, however he might be a bit too old now, and I keep hearing rumblings that the Green Arrow as portrayed in Smallville might get a spin off.
