My daughter and I had midnight tickets and both took a day off today, which turned out to be a good idea *yawns hugely*

My first reactions behind a spoiler cut. )

Wheee..sound awesome! Can't wait to see it. :D
I have a soft spot for Ron and Rupert in general. I've sort of always shipped Hermione and Ron since they were kids *facepalm* they were just adorably awkward. *g*

It's such a lovely experience to watch them grow over the years, both the fictional characters as the kids who play them :D

Getting closer now eh? :D

My youngest also wanted to see it but since it was a schoolday for him the next day I didn't think a midnight screening was a good idea but I promised to go with him too asap (probably this week) and I really don't mind seeing it a second time!

I'm taking my friend to see it as a belated birthday present :) She has two children under 5 so she doesn't get to go out a lot. I've carefully timed this trip so her husband has the kids and I have time to treat her to dinner before hand as well. I'm dying to go already, but I want to wait and see it with Bek the first time. SO EXCITED.

I'm going a second time next week, to watch it with my youngest and my daughter said she wanted to come along too. It had been so long since the previous movie, I'm glad we won't have to wait that long for part 2!

will go with one or more collegues, dunno when.
I am not that much in a hurry, the HP-frenzy has died down a bit since the time I was one of the first ten who got HBP in Amsterdam.
neither will I reread Deadly Hallows before watching it, that mosttime kills the enjoyment of the movie.

It had been a while since I'd read the book, and I agree it's best to watch the movie with the book not too fresh in mind because you can't really compare the two. It's a completely different medium. I will say that imho they managed to capture the mood of the book beautifully.
