My daughter and I had midnight tickets and both took a day off today, which turned out to be a good idea *yawns hugely*

My first reactions behind a spoiler cut. )

Friday night! I'm so excited. Is there much Snape in this half?

I am wondering this too since he has always been my favorite. Seems like there would probably be more Snape in the second part.

I think you're right about that, and I expect more Snape next time around. I certainly hope so.

No, I'm afraid not. Hardly any in fact.

It's not out yet where you live? I thought this week was a world premiere and it came out everywhere at the same time...

Now, to find an evening where I can go and watch it...

I know! This midnight viewing was in fact the most convenient moment for us. We're now trying to schedule a moment where the youngest, daughter and I can go all three together, but that proves to be complicated since there's always someone who has to be somewhere, because yeah, daughter has found a job in the meantime \o/

Glad you liked it. I'm going on Friday with the kids. My youngest is 6 and normally he is not easily scared. So I'm hoping the scary bits are not so bad???

Frankly, the rating over where I live is recommended 12 years and over, and that's about right imho. Would you like me to give some details on what to expect?

In the UK it's 12A so you can take younger ones as long there is an adult with them. He has seen all the other ones and was fine. I would hate to leave him behind especially if the others are going, so if you wouldn't mind, maybe a few pointers would be great. So I can have a chat with him before Friday. Thanks.

There are some moments where someone is clearly in pain, begging for their live and gets killed anyway. There are close-ups of people in pain and I found the moment that Hermione gets tortured and the others hear her scream quite intense, especially because it takes a while. You don't get to see in detail what's being done, but you see the result. There are clear wounds on several people that involve quite a lot of blood.

There are also some moments that just gave me a scare which are clearly put in there for the 3D version, where for example a big snake snaps up to the camera. Those are just the 'whoa!' moments. And there are a couple of creatures that die that I found sad but not really distressing, but a 6 year old might.

I'm already planning a second viewing; it's the kind of movie that needs to be seen more than once :D

Absolutly, I can't wait to see it again. We had a good audience too which makes things fun. I was stunned how mature the three of them have become.
