I suggested 'golem' to my sister as well, but she's like 'pffft not likely!' but then had to ask me what a golem was >.>

oh! so that's what wolf-girl's name is? Lexie? I had no idea at all--which is why I spent most of the episode wondering WHY Charlie would want to know her punk band name if he didn't even know HER name.

Since I watch The Gates right after True Blood I figured Lexie's twin died because its hard to carry one werewolf pup to term let alone two, but I realized reading your comments above that my assumption was based on material not from the show itself, but other sources with similar set ups.

also I figured she didn't like Andi for the same reasons I don't--she's a tosser and isn't healthy (emotionally speaking, since I'm guessing Brett isn't going around admitting his love of life is a succubus that could drain him of life if they get too heavy) for Brett.

most people do (ask, that is)...likely because they learn about Gollum before they learn about the Golem. ;)

well, one of her Pack called her by name - something about "get your own lovelife in order"

though maybe Charlie knew her name already, or she told him offscreen...or he figured that she'd be more likely to tell him her name, if he guesse her band name.

well, I came to The Gates after seeing Wolf Lake, which assumed ( ... )

>.> I worry about today's youth that 'golem' means little to them except as 'Gollum'. I know there is a myth/legend/story about what happened to Leigh (that is, assuming she was literal in her heart was ripped out and that's what was in the box), but I'm having trouble tracking it down. Too many books with too few decent indexes ( ... )

shame on me for not remembering the Aztecs. (I'd just been talking about them about a Miami Medical WIP)

i feel worse for forgetting my favorite line from Ancient Egypt: "my heart, my heart, do not speak against me"...but thank you for reminding me of it.

thank you for the list of other heart-related ones.

>but a purely animal thing related to the fact they're wolves.
*nods* combined with the small community of the Gates.

> Obviously the teens could shrug off the mantle of rules
they're teens; the audience might be too confused to watch, if werewolf teens didn't act like their human neighbors.

> At some point it would have to get detrimental to his health.
*nods* I think they're going with the idea that werewolves have better immune/healing abilities (and more rapid ones) than humans do. ie Brett regaining his color and breathing after kissing Andie.

>Though since Mia decided to be Dr. Mia and ignore common sense I'm sure there are other issues that will come out first.
oh indeed. heck, when she took the Demon-weed ( ... )
