You scared me to death! I was like "WHAT????" *keeps a close eye on you* I'm watching you pal. ;p
Again, really enjoyed the interaction of Val and Amita.
"Do I have a file?" Amita asked.
Val bit her lip. "Let's say you're not as red-flagged as Agents Granger or Sinclair." Callie's definitely walking a tightrope there. Let's hope she survives it.
Now I'm all curious about this tightrope Callie's walking while I simultaneously find it endearing that Amita asked if she had a file. Curious even in the midst of crisis. Adorable.
Really loved the bait vs. lure discussion with Nikki and Janet. haha.
"You're dying to ask, so go ahead."
"You're sure?"
"So long as it's not 'if you die, how long do I have to wait before I can date Callie?'."

remember that Elsbeth wanted to retire and had/has a relationship too.
not sure what Callie's thoughts are on retirement, but it might explain why she hasn't proposed to Colby by now.

hahaha. ;p (I would assume it's square so she could always see all the angles. LOL.
superagents throwing their loved ones, really seems to be turning into a (meme? trope?) for me...Bourne fic: "Cautious and Careful".
I've never read fanfic outside of Numb3rs and/or The Mentalist... but your Bourne fic was lovely (even though I had to remember who Nikky was. haha! I haven't seen those movies for a really long time.)

for me, scenery and description are the toughest parts.
Scenery and description are what hang me up too - because I can see the scene so clearly in my head, if it doesn't translate to paper, I won't keep writing the fic. *sighs*
I just try to make sure I can hear their voices.
And you're doing a wonderful job. Can't wait for more!
