Oh noes, so sad :( But still beautifully written in all its no-frill, plain and reduced style.

Not again indeed.

I liked that Rush was thinking that Greer might have said that on the planet. LOL! I love the way you have his mind work.

Ohhhh and she so needs to correct him. :)

*nods* between the earlier timeline's Lt James, and the late Mrs Rush... poor guy.

well it is a Greer-ism practically. :)
thank you.

>and she so needs to correct him.
agreed. would you like to write it? please?

I don't know if I could write it from your writings and have it match up. I like what you are doing with it. I wish you would continue. When I think of writing James, I keep getting her with Ba'al. One monute I think of her as using her sexyness like she did with Eli to get him to follow her...then the next I think of her as someone who has been treated like her body and not who she is. My brain goes "Is she a military strong woman or a sex kitten like she was with Scott?" So, it makes it more enjoyable to see how others write her.

it doesn't have to match up - start from the assumption of them together, and write how you want to write it.

Vanessabal? not exactly kosher, hebrewwise. ;)

Baal seems to not be against the idea of visually-appealing people - but remember that Baal is the serpent = the mind within the mind. so imho he'd probably appreciate the heck out of both aspects of Lt James.

(that and, pantheonwise, its entirely possible to be a military woman and a sex kitten - look at Kali or Sekhmet)

One tiny little nitpick - Rush (and Robert Carlyle, the actor portraying him) is Scottish, not Irish. Having lived for several years in Scotland, that's the sort of think that would drive a Scot nuts!

Thanks for sharing!

thank you for the correction. (why do I keep thinking Glasgow is in Ireland?)

and thank you much for the compliment.

Yes, my grandpa is from Scotland, and I said England. He turned with a stern face and asked, "What makes you think we are from England?" He was so quiet and cold that I just shook my head. He was a wonderful man, but he would get upset when people mixed it up. That was why I put the Eli mix up in my Mary Sue fic...lol.

He went over our family name history, which included a review of our clan colors and family crest shield thing. I never made that mistake again. LOL!

I know what he means - those who know something, get rightly cross when others confuse it with something else.

I'm from Wales - I don't think we have Clan Colors.

Okay, I love this. I loved "Time" and this fits so well into the feel of that episode. And that last line - that last line! Oh, that's perfect. Tragic and perfect all in one. Poor Rush.
