Light Quake Shakes Northern California
SAN MARTIN, Calif. (June 15) - A light quake struck the south San Francisco Bay area early Thursday but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The magnitude 4.7 quake hit at 5:24 a.m. PDT near San Martin, a town of 4,200 people about 24 miles southeast of San Jose, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
