Just got through reading Eldest, the sequel to Eregon, and I enjoyed it immensly! Paolini's writing skill has greatly improved, and though he still has some rough edges and could stand to tone it down on the Tolkien references, the plot was wonderfully complex and engaging, as were the characters.
