Recently finished reading Elif Shafak's 'The Bastard of Istanbul'.
This book passes the Bechdel test like a song. It's primarily populated by women without having to be about them being women, and the characters are actually interesting and flawed and human. There are a handful of men, but all in background roles as fathers, brothers and ( Read more... ) -
Feeling like a boss because:
- I completed my first race, running 8k from Asia to Europe
- Completed the water temple on Ocarina of Time without a guide (I was not actually aware, but apparently this is a boss-like thing to do)

Portal 2: Lab Rat
I've only just got round to reading the Portal 2 tie-in comic, which isn't really all that bad timing considering the game comes out tomorrow. I have to say though, it left me feeling kind of disappointed.
