Yesterday, January 1st, was the annual Stitch and Bitch day of eating and stitching. Smaller than usual turn out this year, but a good time was had by all. A couple more stitched ornaments for the 2011 Omaha Needle Artists' Christmas tree. I took the inspiration from the little trees in the Hillside pattern previously posted. It comes from a free pattern on Nordic Needle's site and was presented in my stitchery group's newsletter as a Double Dog Dare challenge. So the DCnU started this past week with Justice League #1 and I figure this is the best place to keep my notes on the new books as they come out (or at least the ones I decide to bring home and read).  I'm thinking written notes will help me firm up my pull list and keep me from continuing to pick up books out of habit rather than enjoyment.

Wow, twice in one day! A pair of knitted snowman ornaments for the Omaha Needle Artists' Christmas tree this year. The tall one is mine, the short one was done by my friend, Sally, who also provided the crocheted nose and arms for my guy. Crochet requires a magic spell I haven't learned yet. LOL Finished up sometime in late July.
