I haven't been making regular entries here, but I have been working on my stitchery and my knitting pretty much every day, even if some days it's only a handful of stitches. I've been having a great time, and I have so many new ideas for projects I'm a little giddy!

I got a nice little envelope in today's mail with my very first order from Sublime Stitching.  Nifty iron on patterns to mix and match, some lovely transfer paper so I can get designs onto fabric, and a very nice burp cloth to be embroidered as a baby gift.  After all, every new baby should know where it's towel is, right?

Here are a couple of the UFOs (Unfinished Objects) I'm entering in this year's UFO Challenge from the Omaha Needle Artists chapter of EGA. The idea is to get as many unfinished projects as possible finished by the end of the year. Last year I failed to complete ANY of the pieces I entered. I've been making a bit of progress in the stitching department again, and I've even been getting to the assorted stitchery meetings - Last Sunday of September S&B, First Monday of October EGA, and Second Saturday of October S&B.  All in very close proximity this month.  I'm managing at least a few stitches most days lately too ( Read more... )

It's been quite awhile since I did a stitching update!  Sadly, that's because I haven't done a whole lot of stitching.  Real Life has been getting in the way of everything fun this past month or so it seems.  Mom hasn't been feeling well, dental work, a bit of an infection, and then an upset stomach from the antibiotics.  So we missed the last ( Read more... )
