Katie cricked her neck as she stepped away from the punching bag. Wayne had finished her attic gym on Tuesday and it was amazing. She could climb up whenever she wanted to escape from the world. She could spent hours working out, just one with the bag. Unfortunately, she was working out a bit too much, and her muscles were starting to protest. With a sigh she extended the ladder and climbed down, heading for the shower. The hot water and steam helped a bit, but she really needed a potion ( ... )

Alicia grinned wide at Katie before she caught herself, remembering they hadn't talked in weeks because Katie thought her a hussy. Well. She pushed her bangs out of her face nervously. "Hey, Katie, what's up?" she asked feebly.

While she'd been sick the last week, she kept thinking about how she could talk to Katie again to make things right, but Alicia found it hard to think about apologizing, when they had both been in the wrong, at least a little. So they simply hadn't talked.

Katie felt as nervous as Al looked. "Um, nothing really. Just getting some pain potion. For my muscles. Been hitting the punching bag a bit too hard lately," she rambled.

Katie bit her lip. She'd not seen Al in a few weeks since their bust up, and she missed her friend. Leanne was her best mate, but Lee was in Omagh, and Al was right here - they'd been so close for so long, that it was silly to let an argument come between them.

"Look Al, I'm really sorry about what I said, and especially about how I said it. It's not fair for me to tell you who you can and can't date, and I shouldn't have stuck my nose in your business. I was wrong."

"Oh, your own punching bag? Brilliant," Alicia grinned a bit.

She let out a breath when Katie apologized. "It's okay, Kate, I- well, I still don't agree, but I understand. And I'm sorry for kind of kicking you while you were down. You don't deserve that."

She stood there awkwardly for a moment, not sure if she should hug Katie or what. She felt the lingering frustration with her, but it wasn't enough to not make up with her. Like she'd told Angelina, she lost a friend already- she was going to do what she could to not let it happen again. She shrugged a little at Katie. "We're okay?" Missed you.
