Honestly, if someone back home would have asked him to sweep the floor with a broom, Atem would have looked at them with wild curiosity and have to inquire what a broom even was. Sweeping was not something he had grown up having to do, nor did he feel the desire to do or learn. Not that his father hadn't instilled in him the sense of hard work and a tenacity for getting things done; it just never had to do with anything like sweeping floors ( ... )

Aww, how cute. He had an Egyptian accent. She was glad that he could understand her, for she'd spent so many years in England and France that her Japanese sounded a bit off, despite the fact that she'd tried to hard to get the dialect correct. But, regardless of all that, it was time to sweep, since he wasn't doing much but making the situation worse. Snagging the dustpan with her boot, she swept everything up within a few moments, correcting his mistakes like a mother or a sister would do, and then placed the broom off to the side ( ... )

Atem blinked as he took a step back as she went about doing this task with great ease; and as she spoke to him in a quick manner. He had met so many interesting people lately, all of which liked to talk like that. Even though she was talking so much, so fast, the foreigner found himself oddly drawn to listen. He didn't find himself bored or confused(save for not being able to understand some words) and listened intently. While he listened, the Egyptian took note of how Selphie watched him. No doubt she was looking over his rare features; his hair and complexion being the top bet of what was drawing her attention so well ( ... )

Cairo, huh? That was pretty awesome, in her opinion. After all, tans were pretty sexy~ But she wouldn't say that out loud. She just let him finish his introduction, as he did with hers, and though his accent was quite thick, she made out about ninety percent of his words. Since he had a puzzled look on his face while she was talking, she decided she could try to talk a little bit slower, for his sake, at least. And of course, since she was too much of a scatterbrain, she fell right into his trap, forgetting what he'd said about two seconds previously, and watching his hand travel to his hip. She'd never seen a belt like that before. She wanted one ( ... )
