I hate being a quitter

Sep 02, 2011 23:09

Just threw in the WBB towel. I just, I can't stand my fic right now and while I would've made the word count, I am not happy with the fic, at all. There's no way I'd send out, even in rough draft form, something I really can't stand. I feel like a weight's been lifited off, honestly (in terms of creative output ( Read more... )

Ah, well. Just put it down and come back to it later! I'm still damn impressed you got out what you did. That's awesome. \o/.

More Nash 'verse?? More about Hoosier's face? HOOSIER'S FACE IN NASH 'VERSE? I'LL STOP, I SWEAR!

And those are rubbish laws. Come on, they're public holidays!

God, Nat, I was so happy to close down the 4 word documents with sections of the fic, and just be rid of it. I'm so happy I don't have to work on it anymore. Like, I honestly, I never want to see the fic again. I'll salvage the parts of it I like and work them into something else, but other than that, I just feel like I'm done with this one. Honestly the whole thing has just left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak.

I def. will be writing more Nashville 'verse and Modern AU. I'll give it a few weeks and then probably go and mess with something in Midnight Land. Right now though, I've got the Hillbilly/Haldane bit of Nashville 'verse open, some music playing, and a whole late night to write.

And yeah, they are crap laws, but I guess since it's a 24hr/7 days a week store they get to work something out? Who knows.

(For the record, I don't think it's quitting. You gave it a shot and it didn't work out\o/)

Aw, I'm sorry. I'm still keen to someday read what you've got, and if you can work it into something else, that would be awesome. :D

I APPROVE OF THIS PLAN. I MAY HAVE ALSO FLAILED ABOUT MORE OF MIDNIGHT VERSE (may or may not have re-read it last night 8''D). And this is awesome. I'm a couple of minutes away from a shower, and will be pulling up the fic with bikes myself. CAN'T WAIT, SHAN.

Still, though, public holidays. I'm sorry;;

(If I'd bothered to write anything over the past two weeks, I'd be done, but I just was not happy with the product and couldn't bring myself to do it.)

I will probably throw it up in a locked post one of these fine days. We'll see.

I had 3 documents in Nashville 'verse opened, but do you know what I did? I opened a brand new one and started to write HOOSIER In NASHVILLE 'VERSE. I WONDER HOW THAT HAPPENED?

Best of luck with the shower and the writing!

And now I'm working on finishing that Nashville Roe/Babe fic. Though it really should be Roe & Babe, since it's just the beginning of something?

But god, now all my thoughts are like Hoosier/Skinny, and what Skinny will say when he finds out about Leckie, and how, like, I just want to write like, a 3B backyard bbq reunion fic where Luz is there with his wife & kids, and Toye is there with his whole brood and Hoosier is awesome at the kid-handling, b/c to him, kids and dogs are easy.

:( I'm sorry your fic was giving you such a hard time but dude, I'm so glad that it's not weighing on you anymore; maybe someday it'll feel like something you can pull out and revamp to your liking.

MCR+Drum Kits=wtf boys, stop it. I'm a little leery to try and figure out what new thing has happened.

I think a lot of time away from the fic will make me hate it, you know, less. But right now, yeah, need to take a huge step away from it. We'll see.

Seriously, MCR and drummers, just, yeah. Like, I think Bob left, on a good note, just, you know, he NEVER wanted to be famous and he had to take care of his health, but the other two drummers. Eek. It's insane.

(hugs) Hey, you go with what feels right for you!

Poor Bob; sections of fandom gave him huge flack for a while there even with the band's statement and he just really didn't deserve it. Dude's wrists were fucked and it had to be painful.

Also, let us not forget the flaming drum kit and the Onstage-Frank drum issues.
