Well, everyone, here we are in the final official original three serials of the great & mighty Troughton rewatch-athon! Next week will be entirely devoted to the final serial of Two, Jamie & Zoe's - The War Games. I'll have it up on early Saturday morning, as usual, but I'll hopefully watching two serials a day, recapping each one in its own

An understandable confusion. Damn the writers for recycling names!
& HE WINS! ::tackleglomps Jamie:: He won & the other fellow didn't last five minutes! IN YOUR FACES!
And the other guy was armed, which adds some more extra pwnage points!
Random fashion note two: Does anyone have an idea of what material Zoe's jacket & skirt are made out of? I'd say maybe something in PVC, but it doesn't look quite as shiny as PVC does. Maybe a leather of some sort?
That's the outfit that's said to be made of paper and which kept tearing off at the most unpleasant moments.
O yes, Doctor. Leave the perfect little brainchild in a room full of computers & knowledge. ::looks a bit sad::
Yes, it's like leaving a little kid alone in a sweetshop. *shakes head* Things would have been much better if he had left Zoe tending to Vana and taken Jamie with him.
Zoe's face is kind of creeping me out - she ( ... )

YES! & KROTON'S FAR MORE AWESOME THAN THE KROTONS, Y/N?

& he never once acted cocky or macho about it! He was just like, 'Bring it on then.' GOLD STARS FOR JAMIE.

NO. I thought that was her dress in The Dominators! This one looked great! But it did vaguely make me think of rubbish bags designed into an outfit. But she looked GREAT in it! (though if it was made of paper . . . maybe that explains Padders & her reaction at the end of The Invasion commentary. :P)

At least Jamie wouldn't have wandered off & found himself in so much trouble! & that too, could have been interesting to see - Jamie in the hall of learning, ( ... )

DEFINITELY Y!

No, that one was made of curtains. This is the paper one. I'm now rewatching The Seeds of Death with the audio commentaries on, and Wendy says it's PVC paper, and the skirt was always tearing up ( ... )

FTW! ::hugs Kroton:: I want an excuse to use his tag more often!

Hmm, I've never heard of something like PVC paper, so I was half-right when I said it was PVC. :P But I didn't note a tear anywhere - just her looking all fab in it! :D
& thankyou for the notes on the commentaries! I'll pop the subtitles on when I listen to it. :D
At some point, Terrance pokes fun of Frazer describing a scene he witnessed in an American con where this serial was shown, in which Frazer was watching it with a beer in his hand and a gaggle of adoring fangirls all around him. Frazer was relishing at all the attention, pointing at the screen and going "Now watch this bit. I'm awesome in this bit! *pauses* See? And I'm EVEN BETTER in the next bit!"
OMG. ::giggles madly:: SO. CUTE!
Yes, that would make sense.One idea is that those headsets would ( ... )

WHOA, ZOE'S TOTALLY AWESOME AT PILOTING A ROCKET.
Well, she has to have some experience at rocket-travel. How else would she had arrived to the Wheel?
Also, in profile, is it just me or does Miss Kelly look a bit like Polly? I think she does a bit, but only in profile.
I think the ponytail might have something to do with it. It's meant to be futuristic, but it gives a mod touch to Miss Kelly's looks.
I swear, I AM paying attention to the story - I LOVE it so far - but I keep getting distracted by all the skin Jamie's laces are flashing!
I don't think anyone could blame you for that.
OMFG JAMIE'S EPIC FACES!! ::gigglesnorts:: EPIC AS ALL HELL & I LOVE EACH ONE.
Jamie's epic faces of epicness = epic love.
::dies:: JAMIE'S WIPING THE FOAM OFF OF TWO. HE IS WIPING THE FOAM OFF OF THE DOCTOR. HOW MUCH MORE DOMESTIC CAN YOU GET?
*dies laughing*
::giggles:: One Ice Warrior appears to have sparkly gems glued onto his helmet. It's totally ridiculous & I love it. SPARKLES!Well, that one and Slaar (the leader of the group ( ... )

. . . ::looks like a silly kid:: I would have assumed they put her on a rocket when they decided she should go up to the Wheel? Um . . .

Yes, I think that might be it - I did love her ponytail though! :D

I can't even THINK of a time before this, or pre-The Five Doctors where he showed so much skin. It was very lovely. :D :D
Jamie's epic faces of epicness = epic love.
::claps hands happily:: YES!
*dies laughing*
THE MOST DOMESTIC THING I'VE EVER SEEN, I SWEAR. :P
Well, that one and Slaar (the leader of the group that took over the moonbase) are Ice Lords - they're smaller, leaner, and they boss over the more turtle-like Ice Warriors. And while Slaar's skin seems to have pebbles, the Grand Marshall has sparkles on his skin and helmet, apparently to ( ... )

Well, it's clear they still used rockets in her days, so she's familiar with the concept, even if she didn't know how to operate them until Eldred taught her.

Any excuse to post this pic is a good excuse :P

O, yes, I remembered that from her first serial, but I didn't think she would have flown one herself. But I suppose it would have been part of her studies in some way.

::brain melts out of ears::
RIGHT-CLICK, SAVE, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.
The more dazzling you are, the bigger you are in the Ice Lord hierarchy. It's all so very fashionable, dahling. :P
. . . THEN EDWARD CULLEN IS AN ICE WARRIOR IN HUMAN CLOTHING. HE'S AN 'ADVANCED' ICE WARRIOR. Clearly, they eventually created a way of making themselves look human in the loooong-off future & that's why we have SPARKLY VAMPIRES. :P
And besides, he shows the reaction any ordinary human would have. I see him more like he's showing a human attitude than real cowardice, and you can see how it just tears him inside. When he finally decides to stay behind and help reveal the Ice ( ... )

The door's been welded shut? Then - then when the charges go off, the TARDIS is going to end up floating off before Two, Jamie & Zoe can get to it!
Yes, that's the big problem - they're marooned and with absolutely no means of escape.
random fashion note - I ALWAYS thought Zoe was in a dress in this serial. But after seeing all of episode two? THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL THAT SHE'S GOT A DRESS ON. HELL NO.
Nope, definitely not a dress. Those are her EPIC HOTPANTS OF EPICNESS, right there, which are displayed in quite a lovely manner in the audio's cover art.
O, hello Two, you're waking up! & Jamie's the FIRST ONE he tries to wake up! AWW!
I KNOW! I mean, Zoe is sandwiched between the two of them - you'd expect him to reach her first, and only then move on to Jamie.
& Pat's sideburns don't seem to be as wild as they were in The Seeds of Death, happily!I quite liked the sideburns, actually, though I cannot explain why. Jamie's sideburns, on the other hand, seem to be suffering from the wildness factor in this ( ... )

& I have to say, that aspect all on its own was a pretty claustrophobic one - especially when they started running out of air. That is something that is just guaranteed to freak me out in anything.

I WOULD TOTALLY WEAR THOSE. THEY WERE EPIC & VERY AWESOME! :D

MORE PROOF OF THE EPIC LOVE THAT IS & ALWAYS SHALL BE TWO/JAMIE. :D

::giggles:: Well, Pat's were sort of nice, I have to admit, but I was rather glad that they weren't as wild this time! :P

And the problem on such a situation is that, if you freak out, you spend even more oxigen.

Sadly, it's also proof that poor Zoe is sidelined...
NOOO, NOT THE MIND PROBE! ::falls over dead:: (he certainly DOES! I wonder why . . . :P)
*headdesk* Gah, silly me - this one was a Robert Holmes story. Terrance was involved with the previous serial, in order to help fix the mess of the continuing drama of Frazer's agent forcing him to leave, which was forcing the original writer for Seeds of Death to rewrite parts of his script to insert/remove Jamie from it.
However, Terrance must have made some sort of contribution to The Space Pirates - it has a mind probe, after all!
I've never heard of The Mind Robber just being a dream Two had - Jamie, I could see, but not so much Two.The ( ... )

Yes, alas . . . ::sighs sadly:: But that's why we have Two/Zoe & occasionally, Two/Jamie/Zoe! :P

Mind probes seem to be his trademark. :P & I THINK at this time, he might have been script editor, but I'm not totally sure of that, so, um, yes.
The people from the Doctor Who magazine seem to have been very fond of this theory. They suggest that the Doctor fell asleep something during episode 1, and that he woke up at the very beginning of The Invasion when Jamie and Zoe comment that they're back to their own reality. I don't buy it, though.Neither do I! WHEN would he have had time to fall asleep in the first episode? Now if the theory was that it was a cracked-out dream of JAMIE's, then I could MAYBE see that. But really, that theory makes no sense if you WATCH the ( ... )

There were rumors of bringing the Ice Warriors back eventually for the new Who, I wonder if it's true.
OMG. That would be interesting to see, I think - for Eleven's series, I would assume? Hmm. THIS, I sort of hope is true. :D
