Who: Sei sei_what and Lucy jigglingkeys What: Girl's night out! (Ttly not a da- who am I kidding). Also, fancy clothes Where: Some fancy alcohol-serving place or another. When: Saturday night, y'all!
Lucy had been rather surprised by Sei's request to go out to dinner, but it hadn't taken much thought for her to realize just how much she needed the night off. Unfortunately with Mirajane and the Master not here, reigning in some of her guild mates more impulsive urges was proving difficult. The fact that the gap between her and Lluvia and Erza was even wider than back home, and that the former seemed to have relapsed slightly with Gray's arrival, not to mention rebuilding the guild and getting her magic back, all meant that the poor summoner had been running herself ragged. She hadn't even realized how much she needed a break until Sei asked in fact

There was a moment, a brutally honest, long moment where Sei fought to keep her jaw in place and not gawk like an overly hormonal teenage boy. When they'd agreed on dressing up... that was not particularly what she'd expected but...
Oh but how she'd enjoy this one.
Quickly, she smoothed away the look, turning it from near-gawking into something more like an appreciative leer. She allowed herself a moment to really soak in the outfit, get a second glance at it, her gaze lingering just a bit where the skin was most revealed. Lucy caught a glimpse of that shocked expression that crossed Sei's face, and when she did she felt a surge of giddy satisfaction swell in her breast. Sure, she didn't feel about Sei in that way, or at least that's what she told herself, but the fact that she could elicit such a stunned reaction from the usually calm and elegant woman made Lucy feel very good about herself. Every woman needed to be reminded she was beautiful every once and a while after all. Grinning brightly, she skipped down the last few steps and sauntered over

She was almost disappointed at the lack of reaction to her comment. Almost, though she knew it might start things off a little bit rough. Of course, if one went anywhere with Sei without expecting some sort of off-hand remark or comment that would get most people into serious trouble, they didn't know her very well

Unfortunately for Sei, Lucy was more used to open displays of affection, which coupled with her fluctuating clueless about love meant she sometimes missed rather obvious cues that someone was attracted to her
