Who: Sei sei_what and Lucy jigglingkeys What: Girl's night out! (Ttly not a da- who am I kidding). Also, fancy clothes Where: Some fancy alcohol-serving place or another. When: Saturday night, y'all!
"Unfortunately for you, it's not," she winked, flinching as the finger got her on a sensitive area of her side. A pause, then she leaned down a little, once again as though sharing some sort of secret. "I have a lot of years to catch up... I didn't really let myself be a kid when I was a kid... and I still don't have too many opportunities now."
Of course, it was easy for Sei's train of thought to switch tracks suddenly... she'd had years of practice with it. "Hm... I wondered about it the moment I ended up here alone with Sachiko..." She paused, looking to the sky for a moment. "I guess it seems like you know and are particularly close to all the people from your world that are here..." A laugh. "But there's really nothing beside the Yamayurikai itself connecting Sachiko and I. Just a couple other people that know her a lot better than I do."
A thoughtful look crossed her features... which turned into a wide grin. "Maybe I just think too much."

"Is that why you like hanging around me? I bring out your inner child?" Not that Lucy minded that much, but it did put a strange spin on all of Sei's flirting.
Going from zero to philosophical in no time flat, that was Sei. "Well, we are nakama after all," Lucy pointed out. She didn't even want to think of what it would have been like to be trapped here alone. She wasn't sure if she would have been strong enough to make it. Still, something about what Sei had said bothered Lucy. "I wouldn't say there's nothing but the Yamayurikai. If there really was only that, I don't think you'd fight half as much."
Rolling her eyes as they headed towards their goal, Lucy corrected her, "No, you flirt too much."
lol LJ's being a whore lately. It took like a day to get a notif the other day. :/sei_whatMarch 24 2010, 01:32:44 UTC
"Oh no, it's not only that. That would be... extremely self-centered of me," Sei corrected. "That's just one of the many pieces to the puzzle. Well, maybe a couple of the pieces of it. Rest assured, there's a lot I like about you."
"Still, there's other people it could've chosen to send here that are a lot closer to each other... that is if there's a method to the madness," she mumbled. "Maybe it decided there needed to be someone around to pick on Sachiko..." Another pause. "No... Youko was better at that, too." She shrugged. "Ah well."
"You enjoy it, admit it," Sei's grin just widened, and she gave Lucy a playful shoulder-nudge... right before straightening up suddenly, and taking a big step forward and out of the grasp of the other girl to hold the door open. "After you." Complete with bow and dramatic hand motion.
Sometimes talking with Sei felt like solving one puzzle only to find another inside, even if Lucy was secretly happy that Sei liked her for more than just how amusing she was when teased. Sei was her first friend in this place, and that made her very special to the blond wizard. "Good, because there's a lot I like about you too."
"Maybe it decided there needed to be someone to take care of Sachiko, and let her know when she was being silly," Lucy pointed out. She didn't know of anyone who could stand up to Sachiko quite like Sei, there was something vaguely intimidating about the girl. Of course, who could really guess why anyone was brought to this strange place?
Lucy wasn't quite sure how to answer Sei's statement. In truth she did enjoy the flirting a little, and that confused her even more. Luckily they reached the restaurant before she had to respond, and she gave the other girl a playful smile as she walked in primly through the held door. "Why, what a gentleman~"
"Aww, I'm honored," Sei said, a playful laugh behind her tone, though another part of it sounded serious. "Of course if you didn't, I doubt we'd be in this situation in the first place." She winked.
"... That would be a job better suited to Youko as well," Sei sighed. "There is a limit to how... well I can take care of her. Her onee-sama had it down pat, though. Like I said, ah well. I bet I'll never know."
She stood back upright and stepped in the door behind Lucy, nodding to the Maitre d' as he walked up to inquire about seating. "Only the best for cute girls." Speaking of flirting...
But, as usual, she wouldn't give Lucy much of a chance to retort before she'd begun to talk to the Maitre d' and he took menus and began to lead them back into the restaurant.
