Selene's patrols were doubling in length since Jenny's death. She hadn't known the girl personally, but the manner of her death left a bad taste in Selene's mouth. It wasn't so much the display, as the fact that a good chunk of her visceral organs were simply missing. It was too quick, but he could still act on instinct. Youji bumped into the wall and jerked, trying to get her to lose her grip. His hand was close enough to his watch to reach the trigger when he heard that soft voice behind him.

"Hell of a way to great a guy, Selene," he said, arm dropping from his weapon briefly. "Whatever happened to handshakes or hugs?"

Although Omi wasn't really a kid, he'd always sort of been one in Youji's mind. "Disappearing and reappearing like that. Enough to drive you insane." Worse than Aya.

His head tilted to the side and he studied her expression. "Why, you disapprove of this sort of thing? It was just a little gambling tonight. Gotta pay the rent, after all."
