Knock For Admittance rivelatageneral January 28 2009, 22:06:15 UTC
Major Valery waited at the gates, knowing that he'd be making the journey to and from the Waiting Room a bunch of times over the next couple of days, but also knowing that he didn't have much of a choice. With the General guarding the Queen and Casi keeping watch over the Waiting Room, it was left to Valery to pre-screen anyone who wasn't on the Chancellor's list.

Just to say hello chainsaw_juliet January 28 2009, 23:24:23 UTC
The humans were starting to become politically active and it reminded Grell of ants scurrying to and from the nest. Each ant had a purpose to serve and yet they were all so insignificant in comparison to the bigger picture.

"Hello~ Major Valery~!" Grell cooed playfully, coming up to stand beside the man. Idly he preened Valery's cravat. "Keep up the good work darling."

Xaldin (Day 1) - part one because Xaldin is a talker. fakebritgit January 28 2009, 23:02:29 UTC
Xaldin believed in punctuality. As he had promised a fair testimony to the Chancellor the previous night, come midday, he was at the gates, ready to speak. The process to gain admittance to the hearing room took surprisingly little time, and once he stood before the Council, under the heavy weight of no powers, he cleared his throat to speak ( ... )

He caught his breath, and began to pace. "Before that unfortunate day, however, the six of us were quite good friends. In those days, Ienzo was inquisitive, kind, and very assertive when necessary. He loved to read, and loved to write even more. He was also the youngest of all of us, and extremely intelligent. His specialty, as I mentioned, was psychology and thaumaturgy - the study of magic as a science. He also was persuasive, and easily persuaded himself. He was dear friends with Xehanort, and it was Ienzo's glib tongue that convinced Master Ansem to allow us to conduct our experiments on darkness ( ... )

Kurama (Day 2) fox_shuuichi January 29 2009, 01:03:29 UTC
Kurama had assumed - correctly or incorrectly - that those with personal interests and strong testimonies would desire to appear before the Council on the first day of the trial. He had no need or desire to put himself among so much company, and so he waited until the second day - better to do his part soon. He was early, and so was ushered into the hearing room, a little unnerved at the renewed loss of his powers, but never allowing that emotion to show on his face.

"My name is Minamino Shuuichi," he said softly, with a low bow, and then said nothing more, simply standing and awaiting any questions that might come.

Yuuri spoke first, looking the redheaded man up and down and clearing his throat. "Minamino-san... please state your relationship to one or both of the defendants."

He was very nervous (this was his first trial, after all!) but Conrad and Gwendal had prepped him as best they could.

A small smile crossed his face as the boy spoke. His nervousness was clear, but in the midst of that, he had spoken with respect, using an address Kurama had not heard for quite some time.

"I did not know this current Axel very well, I'm afraid - I don't believe I have ever spoken to him." Not that he had spoken to the previous Axel, either, but he had been held captive with him at one point. But, of course, that was neither here nor there.

"Zexion I have had some contact with over the journals - never much in person. But he was a part of the rescue group that saved the captives from the Queen's Ball. In effect, I suppose I owe the fact that I am live and free partially to him."

Trial Day 3 // Friday January 30th // Day 309 rivechancellor January 28 2009, 22:08:44 UTC
Uzuki (Day 3) promotionplz January 29 2009, 01:40:42 UTC
Uzuki had been scheduled to work for most of that week, so she didn't actually have time to see the council until that Friday. Truth be told, she was nervous as all hell and not exactly pleased at the idea of testifying. She had a sneaking suspicion that they'd just use everything she said against him. But dammit, if there was even a chance that she could help, she would.

She arrived at the gates, and let the Major lead her to the room where the council was seated. Trying not to show just how worried she was, Uzuki stood and faced them.

"Ah..." Damn it, don't just stand there, say something. "I'm Yashiro Uzuki. I don't really know Zexion but... I'm Axel's coworker and..." She trailed off, then sighed. "Look, I don't do speeches. Just tell me what you need to know."

Selene (Day 3, evening) deals_death January 29 2009, 02:00:44 UTC
Selene felt as if the entirety of her stay in Rivelata had been a preface to this day. Even the capture of that murderous bastard a few days prior felt insignificant in the face of this night. An invitation to the castle, and the opportunity to speak on the matter of one who had both helped her and caused her late lover so much grief. She was completely at a loss for what to do, what to say, how to testify; should she be speaking for Zexion, or against him? She supposed if she simply told the truth, the council would chose what to believe for themselves, but the truth raised a whole slew of other unsavory questions ( ... )

"Coming at all is something appreciable!" Immaculada called, not yet tired and doing her best to participate in the trial. "Who might you be then, miss? And how might you know the defendants that would push the Chancellor to summon you here?"

Yoshiya Kiryu (Day 4) levitatefusion January 29 2009, 18:10:12 UTC
Joshua wasn't exactly sure what the council wanted to hear from him. He was acquainted with Axel and they had talked more than once, in one instance soon after arrival with the matter of the darling girl in front of him. The Composer had been aware of the process since the beginning, since he had some knowledge on how their universe worked and could detect the smaller changes of Sho's frequency, but he had never made this publicly known. It was entirely possible they knew about that anyway, but he was not going to offer up any information that he wasn't asked about. He might have simply been there because of his status as Uzuki and Sho's superior in Shibuya.

He walked into the room the testimonies where being taken in. "I am Yoshiya Kiryu," he said, using his full name but saying nothing more.

By the fourth day of the trial, Yuuri had grown used to the format and the questioning of witnesses. He took on the role of questioner for Yoshiya with little hesitation.

"Thank you for meeting with us today, Yoshiya-san," he started out. "Would you describe your relationship to either one or both of the defendants?"
