WHO: [[Seated Council]] Chancellor Nacitah, Queen Immaculada, Lieutenant Grell Sutcliffe, Judge Shibuya Yuuri, Jukubwya Alice Cullen, Gratiae Garnet til Alexandros, and General De Viers plus all Testifiers
WHAT: The Trial of Axel and Zexion - testimonies regarding 1) the crimes committed and 2) the character quality of each accused
WHERE: The Castle
WHEN: Day 307 (Wednesday January 28 2009) - Day 316 (Friday February 06 2009)
After being met at the gates, Major Valery checked out the list that had been provided to him. If you were on the list, he only nodded curtly and gestured to the other guards to allow him passage into the castle complex. After walking up the steps to the front of the main building, he turned left and escorted you along to that corner of the Castle, the southwest one.
If the Seated Council was ready to hear a new testimony, he did not hesitate to lead you directly into the Testimony Room, next door to the Waiting Room. If someone was already inside, he led you to the Waiting Room, where Colonel Casimiro was watching over those assembled with a small contingent of other guards.
The Waiting Room had one window facing out across the complex and toward the jungle, but it took up most of a wall. The rest of the room was fairly sparse in terms of decorations. It had cushioned chairs set up, but they weren't large couches or anything. Colonel Casimiro stood next to the door, leaning against the wall, apparently not bothered by needing to keep a constant watch over things.
The Testimony Room was connected to the Waiting Room, just west along that same wall. There was another large window facing the jungle, parallel to the same window in the Waiting Room. Walking into the room, the Council was across the room, with the window on the left and a mostly blank wall on the right. In each corner of the room was
a large lamp with a pulsing red crystal fitted into it. The room was awash in a red light as a result, not to mention the heavy feeling of suppressed powers down to practically nothing. The edges of the room were lined with guards, all of their armor emblazoned with the city's symbolic shadhavar.
There was a long table with each member of the Seated Council in a highback chair, facing the Testifier as they entered the room. In the center was a middle-aged woman with dark skin and black hair. On her right was a young girl in a long, frilly white dress with a veil over her eyes. To the right of her was a gruff-looking man with long pointed ears, grey skin, a scar over most of his left eye, and as much armor as any other Guard in the room. On his right was Lieutenant Grell Suticliffe, bright red hair being hard to mistake. On the Chancellor's left was Garnet, and to her left was Yuuri, and finally Alice on his left. Each of the Seated Council had a copy of the current journals in front of them along with some spare paper to take notes on.
Neither the older woman or older man speak as a Testifier enters, but the young girl in white gives a shy wave. "Welcome to my Castle," she says softly, "and thank you for coming."
[[OOC: TESTIFIERS! When you are ready for your character to give their testimony, please follow these instructions to keep this large entry as organized as possible, for your sake and the sake of the Seated Council players.
1) The testimonies will be heard for 10 days, so please post your character's name (first name or common name is fine) and the day that they will be appearing before the Seated Council in the header of your comment like so: Kagari (Day 3) or Max (Day 1). That comment should be in response to one of the 'day' threads, in an attempt to organize the timeline of testimonies. You are allowed to forward-date the arrival, but please be sure to use the correct Day Thread.
*** Axel and Zexion must give their testimonies last on Day 10, so that the Seated Council can have access to all prior testimonies, that way they can have additional question for Axel and Zexion based on all the provided testimonies. Please wait until at least the 5th day out of game to initiate this thread or the Seated Council will not have had enough time out-of-game to get through any other testimonies.
2) Please use the prose provided in the main entry to move your character from the Gates and into the Castle, to the Waiting Room or directly to the Testimony Room.
3) Begin with your character's name and any preliminary remarks you would like them to make voluntarily. Please make sure to add your character tag to the entry.
4) Wait for any members of the Seated Council to ask your character specific questions; these should always come in a response to a comment made from your character's account, so there will be no need to track the entire post just to fulfill this obligation.
5) At the end of the 10-day period out of game, a closing comment from the Chancellor will end the Testimony Thread, in which your character will be granted their Private feature to their journal; more information on that will be provided in an entry to the OOC Community at that time. Any threads that are still active will have 4 days to be completed.
SEATED COUNCIL! Please track this entire post or at least check it regularly, that way you will be aware when any testifier has replied to another Seated Council member. When you have questions for the Testifier, reply to the Testfier and not another Seated Council member, out of respect for the player of the Testifier (detailed above). The prose in the entry should provide you with all the information you need as far as what the Testimony Room looks like.
EVERYONE! There is an additional thread at the bottom of the entry labeled OOC Questions - please feel free to utilize this thread to ask the moderators or other players (whom you can direct to that comment via an e-mail or AIM) specific questions related to this entry if you need additional information before you can post a comment. At the top of the entry is a Knock For Admittance comment if you want your character involved but they weren't
listed on the Chancellor's entry.]]
