Musashi knew there were people out there that probably needed help and, loathe as he was to leave the safety of his fortified house, he had to at least try. It wouldn't be very heartening to step outside when the plants were gone (if they ever actually left) and find the corpse on his doorstep of someone he could have saved if he'd taken a little initiative ( ... )

His little... stomach adventure had left his knees wobbly and his vision swimming somewhat. Perhaps standing against Rivelata had been a bad idea- sitting sounded a lot more appealing now.
Musashi's voice cut through the fog around Shin's mind and he looked over at him, swaying a bit.

"No. Rivelata is winning." Shin said, but his lips were thick and the words came out all wrong.

Once he could stand up properly, he would have to go train more, so that during his next fight with Rivelata, he would win. But for now he swayed again, a bit more dangerously- he nearly fell over this time.

Musashi winced to see Shin nearly fall. Obviously the other was not doing alright. He wasn't even sure what he'd tried to say. Musashi doubted it was particularly important, though -- at least certainly not more important than getting him into the safety of the reinforced house.

As soon as he got to Shin, he ducked under his arm to throw his own arm around him. It didn't quite look like the guy was going to be getting anywhere on his own.

"What happened?" he asked, already starting to drag him back to the house. "Did you get poisoned?" That seemed to be happening a few places, if the accounts he'd read over the journals were any indication. He didn't know the cure though, and rather hoped there was a cure... the White Knights might be down a damn good player if there weren't. Musashi hoped it wouldn't come to that.

Shin leaned heavily on Musashi, thankful for the support. If he fell over, he would definitely lose to Rivelata.
However, this brought up another question- if Rivelata was fighting alone, was it fair to have Musashi as a teammate while fighting against it? Or did Rivelata's queen count as a teammate for Rivelata?

"Yes... in my leg." Shin said, speaking slowly, with difficulty. At least it came out clearly this time. He had the feeling that he was going to have another stomach adventure soon, and covered his mouth with his spare hand.

Shin limped along, trying his best to make it easier for Musashi as he dragged him.

Of course it had to be poison. Musashi didn't know how to deal with a lot of things that required first aid, but poison was probably somewhere at the bottom of his list of knowledge. He sighed heavily, renewed his grip on Shin.

"I don't live far away," he muttered, hoping that would somehow help. Maybe if Shin knew he wasn't expected to hobble too far it would be slightly easier.

True to his word, it wasn't long (and they hadn't had to dodge too many of the plants on the way back) before Musashi was shouldering open the door. He kicked it shut behind them and lead Shin to the couch in the living room -- the couch that had been his bed when the house was more populated.

Now it was just a matter of... how to keep Shin from succumbing to the poison. He frowned darkly, again failing to come up with any solutions at all.
