"Yo," he greeted the junkie on the counter with a lopsided smile as he came in. It felt strange coming in here and not going directly to the back door and the basement, but the highs C.C. was giving him seemed to be doing their job. He only felt the slightest pull. "Ya look happy today," Renji said, smirking at the grin on Katou's face.

It wasn’t until Luke got there and his gaze landed on the owner and manager of Hades, but most particularly Renji, that Luke realized he had been somewhat excited. Nervous, even, considering his memories of the last time the two of them were here.
Despite his anxiety, a bright smile was quick to make it on to his lips as soon as he stepped into the bar. “Ah, sorry if I’m too early,” Luke said, sheepishly, after taking one look at what he seemed to be interrupting. Katou... right? He didn't look scary, at least.
{ooc: *lost on how comments are to go, so just sneaks Luke in here* xD; }

“Name’s Katou, how’re you doin’? Boss’s fine too though,” he paused for a moment, clenching the cigarette between his lips. “You are?”
( ooc; guess we'll do it like this 8DD )

“Luke fon Fabre, the...uh, bar boy,” he responded with a more confident grin, relaxing. “Nice to meet you, Boss.”

“Okay, I like him,” he said to Renji over his shoulder, giving Luke a wink to relax him. Turning back to his full attention, Katou asked “You got some experience with bartending, friend?”

He got up off his barstool and stood, leaning on one hip, a street kid's intuition to respond to body language that issued a challenge.
"I'm the manager," he said, in the same voice Mello had used, and gave him a long, piercing look before the serious face cracked. A lopsided grin lit up his face, and he laughed an open laugh. "Now cheer the fuck up!"

He'd borrowed it oncee from Renji, when the manager had owed him a favour. He knew who was in charge, he know who was paying him, and he knew Katou had said it would pay well. And with Yuuko now a resident of their house, he'd need that money soon to keep the witch as drunk as she liked to be.
He opened the door and stopped right beside Mello, a good eight inches taller than him.
"I'm here for the bouncer job," he said simply, shortly.

“Brilliant, now we got us two bouncers!” he said, flicking away the burned-down cigarette carelessly. He turned to Renji. “What do ya think, eh? Should we let them fight each other for the job or just save the trouble and give ‘em shifts?”

However, when she finally made it, Yuffie was a bit happier to just not have any more delays.
She entered the bar in a much better mood then she had been in leaving her house.
"Hiya"

Walking up beside Luke, hands in his pockets, Renji let out a sigh.
"Glad you stayed, kiddo," he said relatively quietly (for him), and gave the boy a gentle punch in the shoulder.

“Of course I stayed, Renji,” he responded, grin slipping down to just a worried smile but keeping his voice quiet enough to match his manager’s. “What’d you want to talk about?”
