I took this photo yesterday of a penny using the reverse lens technique. When I showed it around at work most people, besides being astonished at what it was, thought Lincoln's knees looked more like his butt.

Can a cell phone survive a run through the washer and drier?
I'll soon find out. After wondering what that knocking was in the drier, I looked inside to find my cell phone.
My very clean cell phone.

I am somewhat nervous to see the new iRobot movie, which though they keep saying is based on Isaac Asimov's short stories appears more to be based on his first robot novel, the Caves of Steel. Though, from the looks of the trailers "based" may be too strong a word. Perhaps "abuse" would be a more appropriate term ( Read more... )

I travel I-5 to and from work every day and I find it interesting that at certain times of the day I am the fastest person on the road and at other times of the day I am the slowest, despite my consistent speed of 64mph (55mph limit).

I was watching my dog take a dump this morning and I noticed that his poop has changed colour since we changed his dog food, which got me thinking. I wonder when they'll design a dog food that causes dog poo to rapidly degrade.
It'd have to only be reactive once it leaves the doggies body of course, or it might cause the dog to rapidly degrade.
