I am somewhat nervous to see the new iRobot movie, which though they keep saying is based on Isaac Asimov's short stories appears more to be based on his first robot novel, the Caves of Steel. Though, from the looks of the trailers "based" may be too strong a word. Perhaps "abuse" would be a more appropriate term

I suspect it will be a lousy movie from the standpoint of being a reflection of Asimov's work.

Having said that, if I can just ignore the title and pretend it's a completely original work, it will probably be pretty good (in a shallow, yet entertaining, way).

After reading some reliably bad reviews I have decided to boycott the iRobot obscenity.
